    I mean, I'm out of town March 6-16th and the weekend of April 22nd is my birthday and so I am committed to other things, but outside of that I will almost certainly be there.

    As it were it seems that about half a dozen of my friends were planning a trip to Chicago the weekend after this, the March 2-4th. Than plan as of now is that we are getting a room at a Marriott that is near Lincoln Park. Im not 100% sure plans with come through but I'd be down to meet up where ever we end up that weekend.

    Im not familiar with the lay out, and my friend who works for Marriott and getting us a discount doesn't either. But yes we will be in the downtown area for the weekend. What and where is this green beer day event happening? Is it next weekend?

    Oh, its at a bar called Joes up in Lincoln Park. I knew you were from Cincy so I didn't know if you were coming with Miami guys. Its basically Miami's version of St Pattys Day, the Thur before Spring Break back in Oxford and they do it the Sat after up here for alumni, and now more than just Miami grads, to get sloppy all day.

    I had a feeling that was the case as a lot of Miami girls I know ended up in Chicago and Green beer day was fun as fuck when I went. One of my buddies and his girl went to Miami are some of the people we are meeting up with up there. I'll bring it up and see if they are down.

    Fuck I'll come through for that. What's going down at Joe's? Its probably the whitest and ghetto'est bar at the same time. During recession time they had $2 beer Tuesdays, I stopped going there once the crowd polarized in such a weird way.

    Basically a bunch kids from the same school in Ohio and their non-alumni friends go get wasted at Joes to commemorate a pseduo-St Paddys Day from college.

    Its the only time I will ever go to Joes. That place is just garbage otherwise. Supports basically any college football team, is a country bar, yet the front is filled with various minorities ready to fight with the lillywhite country-loving kids who also frequent it.

    Okay...not to be a dick but who actually lives in Chicago, can go to a bar and not have it be a big deal with driving in, flying in, parachuting in etc...? I'd like to start with that just to get the ball rolling. I know D26, Rachiii, villagebicycle, striding man and Jwags. Who am I missing?

    That sounds about right. Now what's the best way to phrase "I'm meeting strangers from an internet message board that is a spin off of a message board hosted by a d-list celebrity for some beers" when explaining my plans to my girlfriend?
