"I'm doing this to show how much I love you and because of how incredibly pretty you are!" It probably won't work, but it's worth a shot.
I'm going to meet some old old college buddies that just randomly hit me up on FB and are in town for the weekend. Lie, lie, lie.
I didn't have to use it, but if anybody asked how we knew each other, my go-to phrase was "We're old private school friends". Use it wisely.
I'm about 2ish hours south, and do *not* know my way around the city, but can probably figure out something if we get a date set.
I'm pretty easy going and seldom plan ahead, so name a time and place and I'll swing on by. Are we looking for a specific neighborhood or type of establishment?
I'm going to toss out some names. You tell me if any of these speak to you. The Crossing, Kirkwood, Matilda, Waterhouse, Becketts Public House, Vaugn's Pub, Rocks Lincoln Park, The Pony Inn, State, Kelsey's, Trinity Bar, Hidden Shamrock, Sedgwick's, Stanley's Kitchen and Tap. For the record, I'm not allowed in Glascott's. I'll tell the story in person.
Oh man, I have never had a night at The Crossing that has not involved much too much tequila and regrettable decision making--so obviously I'm down for there. Also I love Matilda, Vaughn's, State, and The Pony Inn.
The Crossing is legit especially if it's nice. I like Kirkwood and Stanley's too. The Pony is mad far from me and Ive always hated State. Matilda is kind of a cool spot, but it also feels super pretentious to me. And as someone who has good friends who live above Glascotts and has spent an embarrassing amount of time in that place the last 2 years, I'm interested to hear that story.
The Crossing it is. Unless Village has an issue with it. I have a feeling he has slight hipster leanings...
I was actually sipping fine beers out of a chalice there 2 weekends ago. But I was thinking we could pound some pbr tall boys and ride our fixies to the violet hour. Maybe cruise to some dives after; my chrome bag fits a sixer so we can drink road sodies.
Unfortunately, I'm either going to have a newborn, or have a wife who is about to pop, so I can't make it. Have fun, kids! Be sure to make a lot of Patriots jokes for me.
Well I don't think I can make it the 31st but I will be in Chicago this coming weekend for St. Patty's Day. Any one on here want to meet up Friday happy hour time I'd be down. I'll be around Wrigleyville and those parts exploring places since I will be waiting for friends to finish up at work.
Still waiting for financial aid. As soon as I get that shit, I will be down for drinking in Chicago. I live about two and a half hours away. I will definately go out of my way to drink with you idiots.
