Just because it's a font doesn't mean it can't be somewhat realistic.

Look purple to me. I was wondering about the color scheme...purple and gold.

That was my high school's colors. And our mascot? The Flying Horses. So gay.

We were the Blue Devils. One of my best friends crazy religious mothers campaigned to have it changed into something less sinister (probably like the Flying Horses) because she didn't want her daughter associated with anything referred to as "devils". It didn't work. Colors, blue and yellow (maybe what Nett was going for).

College was blue and orange...probably the worst color combo imaginable.

Holy West fucking Hollywood. What was your school fight song? "Chains of Love" by Erasure?

By the way, mine was the Trojans. And we had lots of pregnant teenagers (ask Nett we were famous for it).

How colorful. Do you have a daughter named Magenta?

My high school was/is the Maroon Marauders and our mascot was a pirate. Yo-ho-ho and all that. Could have been worse. ("Flying Horses?" Was "Fairies" already taken?)

I get a kick out of some of the college team names, like the Akron Zips. Talk about underachievers. Stanford & Tulane don't even pluralize theirs (The Cardinal and The Wave). And Hawaii needs to drop "Rainbow" from "The Rainbow Warriors." Sounds like a GLBT squad with an axe to grind. And the Georgetown Hoyas. What the fuck is a hoya, and what does it have to do with a bulldog?

And speaking of mascots, why don't girls from the University of Minnesota date guys from the University of Wisconsin?

Ever see a gopher hole after a badger got through with it?

I need to go finish a paper.

    Ahem.

    Also... sports spoilers.

Aside from that, another win for Vettel, and Arsenal mopped the floor with Blackpool, AND the Sharks dominated the Lions last night, and, as a bonus, the Bulls were clobbered 27-0 by the Crusaders. Wow. Great sporting weekend here.

Sat down to do work today while hungover, turned on the Masters...and I can't stop watching now. Tiger is charging, McIlroy is choking.

In conclusion, I'm not doing shit for the next 4 hours.

    EDIT: Tiger's eagle. HOLY SHIT.

I just spent the day planning and executing an event for 200 elementary age inner-city youth.

    I'm tired. Need beer. NOW.

The dog park I frequent is about 250 acres of off-leash trails. This is the first weekend the back, forested trails have been clear enough to walk on. Between the three of us there were six dogs, and my friend had the bright idea to attempt the back trails.

Instead of walking them, one of the dogs flushed out a jackrabbit. I stupidly gave my terrier his pursue command, and BOOM. Six dogs hot on Br'er Rabbit's tail. Logic dictates that the hare could outrun everyone, and that rabbits always run in a big circle back to their den (or whatever its called). This rabbit did giant figure eights across an open field. Hilarity did NOT ensue, as the quickest dog in our pack tagged its hind end and tripped it. The pack descended, the rabbit started to scream, and the Irish Wolfhound snapped its neck in under two seconds.

It was immediately pulled to pieces and eaten. I feel bad, and I hope it didn't have any young.

Just e-filed my fucking taxes. Feel like I need a stiff drink to wipe the memory of the stiff no-lube ass raping I just experienced courtesy of the federal government and the state of Kansas. I'll walk the dogs first, but I think after reading that earlier experience I'll keep then on leash.
