Yay, get to go stuff fundraising letters in envelopes tonight for work.... but the catch is we all go out on the departments dime afterwards for food and open bar. For 1.5hrs of BS i will be drinking all night with no money coming out of my pocket.

This January motivated a lot of New Englanders to move anywhere without snow.

Have you guys ever been to Fenway for a game before? That whole area gets fucking nuts, in a (mostly) good way, prepare yourselves for some serious drunkenness before, during and after the game. Also, don't bring anyone under 21 if you plan on getting into any bars, the bouncers there are not cool.

I got a good buzz on and nothing all that great to eat in the house for dinner. Time to mosey on down to the friendly local grocery conglomerate and maybe pick up some baked beans and a jar of mayonnaise or something.

I need help deciding my life:

I'm planning on heading to the city this weekend, some 4 hours away. Do I go tonight, and try to catch the tail end of my friend's birthday drinks? Or do I just relax, have a couple drinks and head there at my leisure tomorrow for the main party?

Why rush it? To sit in Friday night city traffic for a few beers? I suggest kick back and relax.

If it were me, I'd relax and have a few drinks, then head there tomorrow. Then again, I am a worrier who'd be freaked out about silly shit like where I was staying, or driving four hours at night when I might be tired, so the stress of going would be higher than the stress of not going, and why go if you're just going to be stressed?

Again, that's just my fucked-up anxiety-ridden psyche, though.

    Done.

If there's a better way of making decisions than letting the first stranger on the internet decide, I haven't heard it. Plus now I get to make some kickass sweet potato fries to go with a delicious bacon and egg sandwich. And beer.

@D26: Taking the bus, so being tired would be a good thing. Still, I think holding off is the right decision.

    Good advice reward (vintage):

Sent in my "audition" piece for this freelance job. Less painful than I thought it might be. Most of it is similar to the news blogging I do already, but with a more narrow focus.

Also just got one step closer to being a legitimate journalist. I found a story, contacted the parties involved, and got comments from them. I'm so proud of myself.

    Let's all have a beer.

I'm rolling along on a few beers and some Captain Morgan and Coke Zeros. To me, Capt. Morgan tastes better with Coke Zero than regular Coke. Sadly, the bar only had Captain, but it's still better than nothing (or Cuervo. Fuck that).

In other news, I've started eating muesli for breakfast and lunch, sicne I finally found one that didn't make me want to puke.

    Happy drinking!

Speaking of IHTSBIH, anyone else thing this commercial may have been inspired by it?

The toilet/hotel scene was tolerable reading but thoroughly fucking disgusting on screen. I am going to throw up now.

I've never been one to truly appreciate toilet humor.

This changes everything, fill up a couple of opaque bottles with booze, load up a drinking movie or 2 on your laptop or mobile device and arrive drunk.

Just caught the first fish of the year out of my lake. In the season-opening tradition, it was spat upon, and thrown back in to fight another day.

Now enjoying a nice spiced dark rum and coke, and am rewatching It Might Get Loud for the millionth time, cranked.
