Tonka is getting larger. 9 1/2 months old now, 100+ pounds. And he says "STAY OFF MY LAWN." Should be interesting when he starts filling out and putting on some more muscle.
Got another notice from the vet...it is my other favorite guy's birthday next week (guestimated since we got him from the pound after he was found as a stray). Here is Theo, who will be approximately 11-12 years old sometime in the past/next year. And how depressing is it to know that you will never be as happy as he is to simply be able to fetch a little frisbee?
So a couple of weeks ago, Angus, the GF, and myself were on the drive back from a grad party. From those of you from the MN area, it was the Friday where it was hot as balls and the humidity was hovering around Monsoon season. Angus figured out that he loves the vents on my truck. Upon further discovery, he found out that cold air also comes out from my defog vents by my windshield as well. In a split second decision, the little guy decided it would be a good idea to go lie by those vents since they were nice and cool. He hopped up when the GF wasn't paying attention. This was the result.
Since he had some requests, and since my GF is a photo whore, here are two more of Angus: Spoiler When Angus was playing around on this dock that was on land... After Angus fell in the lake.....
When Bowser was still a puppy, he had a shoe moment. Wife™ and I were in the kitchen getting dinner together when we heard something being dragged across the floor. We both turned and looked out the kitchen door just in time to see Bowser trying to pull one of my Airwalks down the hall by its laces. I wear a 13. He weighed about 7 or 8 pounds at the time. It didn't go as well as he was hoping. What? That was a painfully uninteresting story? Fine. We took the dog to Woofstock 2 or 3 weeks ago or whenever it was. Here's Bowser being a jailbird while we got our beer on:
Angus having some fun on the 4th at the dog park. Dude is getting big, already to 27 lbs (he was the runt).
This is Maverick, my Australian Cattle Dog (or Blue Heeler) puppy. Awesome dogs, extremely intelligent, very loyal and protective... not that great with small kids though as they tend to herd them (which while funny as hell tends to be frowned upon by said kids parents). At the kennel when I picked him - 6 weeks old All ears and feet, gonna be a big boy - ~12 weeks Trying to treat a palm frond like a regular sized stick (and failing) - 4 months old In a bit of a destructive phase at the moment - 5 months old
The last day with my favorite creature in the whole world. A bunch of retarded stars aligned in a way that made me have to give him up. Fortunately he went to the best family in the world, but I doubt anyone will love him as much as me.
The wifey sent this to me today from a thumb drive she found in her office. This was Mr. Swarles' first snow experience. He was a fan, though as a lab, he's pretty much a fan of everything.
We went to the beach for the first time today! Both dogs swam, not just the Newfie. Abraham in the front, Finli in the back. (The horse off to the side is Winston, an Irish Wolfhound and honorary Dcc family member.)
