This is my wife's corgi Kea with my chocolate lab Mayhem who died last October. The border collie is Phantom, who we had to put down this morning. He was 14. RIP, bud.
Sorry for the double post, mods, feel free to delete the prior post. It's been a while since I posted a picture of Dahlia, but here she is, full grown, around 80 lbs. She's on the bed with her favorite blanket. And holy shit, does this thing stink, despite many, many washings.
Every day I come home from work and this furry old bastard is laying in the yard, wagging his tail, and whining until... Nice to come home to something that is happy to see you every day.
This is my new cat, Miro: As you can see, he's a weirdo. I got him two weeks ago, and he's two years old. I think most of his weirdness so far is from settling in and getting used to living in a bigger space with more people, but I hope he retains some of his weirdness because it's entertaining. This picture makes me feel like that very short scene in the first season of Mad Men, where Sally comes in to the kitchen where her mother is at a party and she has a plastic bag over her head because they're playing some game, and Betty yells at her for being in the way or something, rather than being in danger of suffocating for playing with a plastic bag, and you laugh because that's the sixties for you. So, to explain: I know that cats like things that crinkle, so when I unpacked what I brought home in that bag I tossed it to him so he could bat it around and step on it and stuff, but he immediately crawled into it and started purring more loudly than I ever heard him purr before. (Until today, when he discovered the bathtub and sat in there purring for a while.) I sat nearby, keeping the opening open so he wouldn't suffocate or get tangled or anything. I swear I'm a good cat owner. I am very happy right now because he's curled up on my bed for the first time ever. (So far, he has preferred to curl up under my bed and right outside my door.)
I've never posted either of my cats here, have I? Yes, I'm a single guy with two cats and a CRT monitor, red dot away: Hilda: Daphne: (huge pic, spoilered for size) Spoiler
Came across this the other day. I must admit it pulled on the old heart strings a little and the eyes started watering up thinking of my old dog, Jake, that passed on last year. RIP buddy. Thought it might be appreciated here as well.
A couple recent photos of Mav, hes 8 months old now. Here he is with a red bandanna tied to his neck at a jaunty little angle courtesy of the GF (it lasted all of 2 minutes after this photo was taken). He is a handsome little fucker, even if i do say so myself. And here he is after helping us put together some shit from Ikea... We were down the other end of the house and didn't notice that he'd wandered off down the hall to where we had left all the boxes. Big mistake.
Dug up an old picture of Tyrone when he was just a wee pup: And a recent picture this summer while he was playing with Bandit, my parents Cairn:
A neighbor found a domesticated rabbit in his yard & couldn't find the owner, plus his daughter was allergic, so we volunteered to take care of the cute little fella. Please welcome, Almanzo:
