For some reason I can't delete or edit my above post, so, these pics should work if you can't view the above ones.
Tex likes helping me cook dinner. He's not getting any though. He's still full from eating his 13lbs of bamboo today.
Yeah she's adorable, but she's also every bit as Jeckyll and Hyde as her face implies. She was called Lola when we adopted her, and even though I always thought the perfect name for a tortie would be Reese (chocolate and peanut butter), Lola is what stuck.
Figured this was appropriate, considering it's Veteran's Day. Dogs greeting soldiers who've returned home
Well that's timely. He had to be put down today. Had some sort of stroke or heart failure last night, we thought he was lost and found him forty feet into the woods lying in a shelter of trees. Was all fucked up, could barely limp it back in the house. He spent the rest of the night in the tub, and literally siht out his insides. Not a pretty sight or smell. All this time he's been unconscious, and we found what seems to be some sort of cancerous growth near his bowels. RIP bud. We're glad we gave you a welcoming, free second lease on life.
This is Dakota. She is a rescue and through research and suggestions, we believe she is an Ainu or also called a Hokkaido, a breed found only in a small part of Japan. It's a distant relative of the Shiba Inu. We can't prove it as this breed is not AKC, so a DNA test would be pointless. In all actuality, we really don't care what she is. She's funny, happy and healthy and makes us laugh all the time. This is Moglie. He's our old ornary old man. He's cool at times, but can be a pain in the ass. AKA, A cat. We'll keep him though. He beats up the dog, which also makes us laugh.
How awesome are dogs? I'm sitting in bed, watching the Patriots trounce the Colts and both dogs have insisted on curling up beside me to sleep. I have roughly 1/4 of a queen-sized bed to call my own. The best part? The little guy is snuggled against my side, his butt facing me, and he's passed out from a long walk. As I type this his legs are twitching and his tail is thumping against my arm, as he dreams his pleasant dreams.
This is Lola, my english bulldog. She just celebrated her 3rd birthday last week. Does anyone else have an English bulldog that has trouble with allergies? Lola has to get an allergy shot ever so often, and I was wondering if anyone else knew different ways to control it because I heard the shots can cause liver damage.
During a recent snow storm both Betty and Rowan had to go out and enjoy the snow. Rowan played lose-the-tennis-balls-in-the-snow for three hours and Betty went pee, covered it up like a polite kitty and promptly headed back inside.
I am madly in love with my puppy, Petey. He is a fantastic snuggler, he doesn't talk back, and it the most loyal pup I've ever seen. He's named after Purdue Pete, but sports an Alabama collar for the hubby. As I type this, he is wrapped around my leg snoring.
This is the dog that took a shit the size of an NFL football on my floor yesterday: As a baby pup: At full size (if you look closely you can see my parents other dog begging for attention in the background): I'll get better pictures of him later, but this crappy camera phone is all I have of him at full size. And I was wearing the baggiest jeans I have in my possession.
