I haven't introduced you to our newest addition. Meet Baxter, a 6 month old Australian Shepard. He has this cuddling thing down already. However this is an illusion, he is currently he is one by one emptying our box of toys and spreading them all through our house.
He weighed 110 about a month ago. He's probably closer to 120 now. He's not quite 9 months, so I'm expecting him to get a bit bigger. His mom and dad are 130 and 125.
I brought Miro home with me since I'm here for a week. Here he is playing with his Christmas present: the wrapping paper from one of my presents.
Because 3 is not enough my wife decided she wanted another dog so we got this guy from the boarder collie rescue, not sure how old he is but he likes to eat cat shit and chase balls. The girls that rescued him named him elvis but that name was not well received by the name approver in my house so he is now Jasper.
I lost her this weekend. She was my best friend and protector for 13 years. She would have died for me and now she is gone. I have to go home to a dogless house. No clicking of doggie nails on the vinyl, no waggy tailed "HI MOMMY!", when I walk through the door, nothing but silence. It's going to kill me. I have cried more than I thought I had tears for and yet they keep coming. I know it will get eaiser but man does it suck right now. Nothing can take away the pain of the loss. I will miss her every single day. She was one of a kind. RIP Mags Mommy loved you more than you'll ever know. Everyone with pets go home and give them loves.
Shegirl, I'm so terribly sorry for your loss. My little one has been very ill lately, and I can only imagine having to go through all that then lose him at the end. Deepest sympathies. Here's my brood, with everyone actually looking at the camera: Finli (little one), Abraham (large black one), Hogan (blonde). The ark is officially full.
I'm very sorry shegirl. It must be terrible in a quiet house with no companion... Here's my girls: Koko and Cherokee.
If anyone wonders why dogs are so amazing, I think this photo sums it up nicely. This is Rudy peering into my soul. Love that dog.
SheGirl - I'm sorry for your loss. Pets mean so much to us. Spoiler Spoilered for size. He's been loathe to leave my side since Thursday. Friday was when everything started. Last night was particularly bad, and he came upstairs and stood guard on the floor beside me while I was there. He's been worried for a minute, I guess.
