This is one of Ruca's pack mates that's already gone to her forever home, with her new pack mate. I just think it sums up dogs. They're the best.
My dog letting my daughter play dress up. And for some reason, this website is rotating my pictures for me.
More pics because I can. I sent that last one to the breeder last night. She said her Momma sleeps like that. Oh doggies.
She met her big brother on Sunday. My GF's silver from the previous little at 7 months. They had a blast.
12 weeks as of Monday. She's growing up. I'd estimate she's grown 4" or so taller over the last 2 weeks. And you see those beat down irisis' behind her? Yeah, she loves to do her daily puppy burnies back there, because they make noise I guess. Love her so much!
Look at this cute lil noodle. Love her so much. Her coat looks milk chocolate when she's outside and dark chocolate when she's inside.
With the weather turning, the cat is looking to find more comfortable places to hang out when he's not outside in the pouring rain.
Ruca had a vet appt last night, she is 3 months and 10 days old. She weighed in at 27lbs. I looked at the vet and said, "IS THAT NORMAL??!!!" She said, "Well, she's just going to be a big girl." God help us.
The last lab I had was blond, 95lbs and built like a brick shithouse. We had a cable run for him in the back of our back yard (so he had a place to do his business, and I didn't have to chase crap piles all over the backyard). 1000lb cable with 5" eyehole screws screwed into a tree at either end. http://stainlessdirect.co.uk/images/categories/Eyebolt-Wood-screw-lag-vine-eye-stainless.jpg He pulled the screws out of the trees more than once just because he wanted to play with us. I really miss that pup.
Well, my sweet old Weim isn't going to make it to 12. His birthday is 10/30, but the vet had nothing but bad news, and I can't just leave the old pup in so much pain. Thursday is the day, so we miss turning 12 by just a bit. Until then, it is nothing but cheeseburgers and sunshine and love for the old guy. Great dog.
Hey, a sincere thank you for the kind reps and messages regarding my previous post. I appreciate the good thoughts of those of you that reached out, sad but supportive. Thanks.
4 months old. It's a tough life. She has what looks like a small cluster of pimples on the underside of her chin. I talked to the vet who said it's very common. She asked what kind of food bowl she has and suggested a stainless one. I said she has a plastic one right now because it's a puzzle bowl. She said they make them in stainless too. I found one on Amazon and will be tossing the plastic. She said the plastic holds bacteria. Also since it's a puzzle bowl, which makes her work at getting the kibble out (causing her to rub her chin on it a lot), that's what is likely causing the acne. Just sharing a little info. It makes complete sense but I hadn't even thought about it. Thanks Vet Lady!
