If I was home in NJ around friends, I'd go with a "cuter" style that flattered my figure in the right areas. However, these are people I work with, so, I'd have to scale it back a bit. Long sleeved figureless dress, no, but something strapless or with slits down to there or up to here would be a bit racy.

A regular bra would be preferable to wear. The last dress I bought for a really fancy shindig was a year ago, and it was an extra small that I needed to have taken out in the bust area. Let's call myself a size 4, and I have a good tailor so I can have it taken in wherever.

I was actually searching on Amazon and found some really adorable 50's style dresses, but they're all in black and white polka dots or bright red. No, no, no.

I was thinking that the 50s style fit and flare would be great for this type of event. Comfortable, classy, cute. But I don't think that red would be a bad thing, unless you don't wear red due to your coloring.

    Something like this is adorable:

Black and white are generally taboo at [traditional] weddings - black because it is for funerals and white because it is reserved for the bride. Combinations of the two are acceptable. For an afternoon wedding, sleeveless and knee length with a sweetheart neckline is probably the best bet if you don't want to look frumpy (ala the matronly jacket and skirt) or skanky (plunging neckline, slits, that sort of thing), and if you prefer a bra with straps. With your coloring, I would avoid pastels and jewel tones (save for a cobalt like Pinkcup suggested or an emerald, which I've had a hard time finding). I've found some really nice dresses at Belk for ~$100 on sale, but since I haven't spent much time shopping for anything but vacation clothes at Target, I don't really know what's available right now.

Do you have Le Chateau down there, or is it a Canadian chain? I find they have AWESOME dresses for a reasonable price.

Small frame, pale coloring, red hair, green eyes, summer afternoon wedding in the South. My votes are fun, light colours, and if you're gonna buy a dress you might as well buy one you could wear again to a different function.

    Stuff like this:

I vote for knee-length, summer colours (aqua, turquoise, peaches, reds) and I agree with everything PG said about white, black and decorum.

Out of the ones DCC posted, I'd go with #1 followed by #3 in the same color, but without the attached flowers.(why designers still rely on that cheap gimmick to jazz up a dress I'll never know) I like the color of the second dress, but the bust cutout makes it look way too hookerish for a southern wedding.

are you sure that's the bust cutout and not the model? I mean no offense to the model, but she kind of screams 'mid range escort'

While googling bridal shoes, I came across this gem. Ugg bridal boots. Whyyy?? These need to be stopped.

Hey Pink, if you're not in the mood to wear heels to that wedding, you could always pick up a pair of these puppies. At least you wouldn't have to worry about comfort.

One of the Tibettes on here mentioned there are two types of guys; Those always trying to cum and those always trying not to cum. For whatever reason I'm in the latter group with the current GF. I specify current because it hasn't always been like this with other girls. I use to be able to go for quite a while but for the last few months, I have about 5 mins in me before I finish. That's just not working for her. Longer amounts of foreplay can help or do the job but sometimes we just want to fuck. Her being on top helps, but who wants to do that every time? I've always prided myself on being pretty good in the sack so this is a real ego blow.

So if any of the Tibettes (or Nom) who've had this issue, what can I/we do?

I like how the last couple of lines in the article talk about influencing young minds.
    Fuck.That.
I'd be more worried about the 30 year old who finds this thrilling than I would the 18 year old.

I like the yellow dress. I can't decide if it's too casual for a wedding (afternoon would probably be ok, but you might want to go a little more formal for an evening affair), but I think it would look fabulous on you Miss Candy, especially with your hair color.

I can't vouch for Pink, but as a fellow redhead, I can unequivocally say that I can't wear yellow. Well, if I don't mind people checking my pulse every few minutes because I look like a corpse, perhaps I could. Otherwise, just no.

I'm a fan of earth tones, but I think you would pull off that blue one beautifully. Bold, but classy, like you.

The green just mocks redheads and the beige is invisable.

Since you are limited by your hair, what colors look best on you? Which ones do you have to avoid?

I edited to add to the last post at the same time you asked this, but I'll expand here.

Pastels are death to me. Jewel tones just make me look like a parody - I don't know if that's fact or personal taste. As mentioned, I wear earth shade oranges, greens, browns and blues very well. Because the red hair colour is so...dominant(?), I don't like my clothes to compete with it, so I keep the patterns, colours and accessories to a minimum. I could easily look overdone.

Suprisingly, certain shades of red are a knockout on me - this one I have to be very careful with, but when I get it right, wowza, it leaves an impression.

I have a redhead friend who kills in yellow, so I think it depends on skin tone and how red Pink's hair is. I agree about the blue, and I included green because Pink said it complimented her well. I think the nude would be much hotter on a red head than on the model, especially with some gold tone accessories.

That said, my ginger friend also looks amazing in champagne/pale pink. Something about that ivory skin...

I believe this, and also in my head I'm picturing you as Jessica Rabbit. Please confirm.

I was with a guy in college who had this problem. He told me he tried a lot of stuff before he invested in this stuff called "Time In A Bottle". It's a cream that you put on 10 minutes before sex and it desensitizes the penis. This might be a radical solution, but it works really well. Then again, he chose this option after exhausting all the cliche methods (thinking about something else, different positions, masturbating beforehand, etc.) so I'm not saying it's your only option.
