    Ladies, from one bottom heavy gal to another: you buy the skirt to fit the ass, then have the waist taken in. Yeah, I agree, it would be nice (and cheaper) to buy off the rack, but if you've got a booty and want to look hot in tailored clothes, them's the breaks. My lady at the rando dry cleaners is worth her weight in gold... well, likely more, since she's approximately the size of a small chihuahua.

    DCC, I have the J. Crew No. 2 pencil skirt in a couple colors and love it, it's the prototypical simple pencil skirt. I did have to have it taken in at the waist. The length isn't too bad though, I'm 5'6" but have pretty short legs and it looks totally normal on me.

    I think pencil skirts look awesome on booties. Or, at least, I think pencil skirts work best for my booty in particular. I don't know what it is but it's hard for me to find a skirt that's flattering, and I've found pencil skirts work much better for me than skirts with more volume. I feel a bit weird recycling this picture that was originally taken for the boys, but this is my go-to pencil skirt:


    It's from H&M and it was $20 at most. It hits right above the knee and the fabric isn't overly stuffy, so I can wear it when I'm trying to look adult or professional, or I can style it to wear out to a bar. I love it.

    Thanks to my extensive research and a couple of helpful reps - I have gone for these
    The shop is UK based (because I am), but the brand in question is called 'Anais' should anyone want to look them up - enough pretty styles I couldn't just pick one and got these and these too.

    I had the same issue...I use Mitchum Power Gel now. It's pretty inexpensive.

    The sites I use look a little sketchy, but they're affordable (and haven't stolen my credit card info yet). I'm poor, and I don't mind cheap material - it isn't gonna stay on very long anyway. I use lingeriediva.com and spicylingerie.com
