My one gander with hormonal BC was unbearable for all parties involved. I was depressed to the point of crying, a total bitch to el husband (who didn't tell me until I was off that I was being a total cunt), and had some pain, too. Fuuuuuck that.
I'm not on BC, and I never have been except when I was on the shot when I was 17-18. Fuck that shit. When I went off the shot it made me bleed for over a month. Never. Again. I'm willing to do/consider the pill, one that will cut it to like 3 or 4 times a year though. Just have to make time to see GYN.
Yep, this. Condoms aren't as fun, but they are more fun than not needing condoms, but never having sex.
Count me in the "no more BC" boat. I don't wanna get knocked up, but I absolutely hate the way it makes me feel. Fuck synthetic hormones.
That's why I was blown away when I tried to buy a diaphragm and found out they've been discontinued in Canada. I asked the pharmacist what the options were if I didn't want to be on hormones or have something surgically implanted, and she said, "Don't have sex?" Yes, because abstinence is a proven effective method in the long run.
You could also try the rhythm or withdrawal methods. Millions of catholics could tell you all about it, if they had time in between caring for their 10 kids. Add me to the condom list too. BCP's didn't work so well for me either.
I have a question guys. A question about buttsex. Spoilered for those who don't want to read about my butt and the workings thereof. Spoiler Okay, me and the boy (at my insistence) delved into the world of anal last night. It's not the first time we've used toys/fingers before but the first time working up (slowly, lubily) to an actual dick. Basically, my problem is that it half felt really really great - and half that I just really needed to take a shit. Which sapped the sexiness somewhat, and we eventually stopped. Does that go away? Do you just get used to it? Is there anything I can do to improve/get round this?
Copper IUD seemed to be working well for me, but I'm wondering now if it's the reason why I all of a sudden sprouted pimples at age 24 after never having one in my life.
Not that I know of. I think I'm going to go get my hormones checked though, seems like a good bet something is out of whack.
It could be that you're having a reaction to something you've eaten. You may also want to consider is a food sensitivity screening. Symptoms of a food sensitivity pop up a few days after something was eaten, so it can be pretty tough to pinpoint exactly what you're sensitive to without some kind of testing. It's not as severe as a food allergy, so it may just cause skin breakouts and lowered energy levels, that sort of thing.
Want to get an opinion from the TiBettes. Would it matter to you where an engagement diamond was purchased? Not the ring itself, just the rock.
Not even a little wee bit. In fact, personally, I'd be okay with a fake one or a lesser quality stone. An aside: a family ring was passed on to me this Christmas. It has deep personal sentimental value, but it is also one giant solitaire diamond. The conundrum: I want to wear it regularly, because rings are meant to be worn, but I was terrified of losing the diamond or something happening to the ring. Much as I hated to do it, I got it appraised and insured. I didn't like having to find out if it was real or fake, valuable or cheap - because of its family connection - but I also couldn't relax wearing it. A good idea, because it's worth about 10x what I thought and for $30 a year it's on my house insurance, so I can relax when I wear it now.
I'm not partial to any particular place, as long as it's not some blood diamond. Honestly though, I don't want a cookie-cutter fancy ring. This is my dream ring: http://www.etsy.com/listing/1064748...iamond-ring-trio?ga_search_query=diamond+ring
I have an appointment (finally) to get the Mirena IUD on Friday, and I was wondering if anyone who has it could give me an idea of what the insertion is like. I know every woman is different and blah blah, and that we tell people that it's similar to menstrual cramps, but I haven't had a period in seven years so I think I may be blowing the intensity of cramps out of proportion. The only time I've had cramps since then are occasionally from annual exams and from dudes ramming my cervix. Is it similar to that? Or, is it like "Just kill me because I'd rather be dead" pain? Or, perhaps more importantly, does anyone know if I can take anything beforehand?
I haven't had one myself, but have seen it inserted multiple times. For insertion, it depends on your pain tolerance, as well as on whether you had children before. Women that have delivered babies usually barely noticed we were doing anything. Women that haven't were certainly flinching when their cervix was dilated and the IUD inserted. But nobody ran screaming out the door. It's totally okay to take an over the counter pain killer an hour before, it will lessen the cramps. Good luck!
I was with my girlfriend when hers was inserted. She seems to have a high tolerance for pain (when I'm spanking her with a belt in the bedroom). She squeezed my hand really hard and began crying. Saying it was the worst pain of her life. She was fine 2 hours later. Since then she hasn't had any complaints. Good luck. Hopefully yours goes better.
So my friend (who is married) sent me this link: http://myfriendsaremarried.tumblr.com/ With the tag "This totally reminds me of you!" It's hilarious. Love it. But now that I think about it... does she think I'm really this melodramatic about being single? Cause it's really not that big of a deal. (insert a gif of a woman weeping uncontrolably here )
