That would be helpful to get an idea of what she likes.

Are you sure she's really open to you picking out her purse? I think women that care about purses in the $300+ range have pretty specific ideas on what they want, name brand/color/type wise. My advice is either to save the receipt or have the gift be taking her on a purse buying trip and you foot the bill.

That is almost verbatim with what I said. She said she trusts my style. (mistake)

This is like hers. Hell, it could be hers for all I know.

    <a class="postlink" href="http://www1.macys.com/shop/product/style-co.-handbag-sassy-satchel?ID=660532&CategoryID=26846&panel=handbags+%26+accessories_5_product-pool" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www1.macys.com/shop/product/styl ... oduct-pool</a>

Obviously I'm looking to spend more than $33.99 for her X-mas gift

Go to http://Www.overstock.com. Tons of choices at a wide array of price points. If that's the style bag she likes, you'll have no problem.

Anything inadequate about the current purse? Too small, too big, too fancy, not fancy enough, not enough pockets, etc?

I'm all about getting more bang for your buck, so sites like gilt or ideeli will have nicer purses for that price range. If you're not into coach, try Rebecca Minkoff. Seriously, I'm fucking addicted to her, and gilt is having a sale event where almost everything is under $300.

    Good luck!

Since you missed your opportunity to get her exactly what she wanted, get her something better! I am currently obsessed with this site and if I had more money or less sense I would own lots of those pretty things. They don't have anything that looks super similar, but I suspect there's something she would like.

Go to a Coach outlet store. They regularly have the same purses that the mall version has for 1/4 of the price.

I am pretty picky about my purse, but sounds like she trusts you. Here is just a word of advice, pick one that "carries" like her old one. If she likes a shoulder bag, go for a shoulder bag. Make sure it hits her in about the same spot. Trust me, purses can be uncomfortable. Other well made brands that you can check out in your price range on sale (more along the classic neutral lines) are Kate Spade and Michael Kors.

    (I like this one <a class="postlink" href="http://couture.zappos.com/kate-spade-new-york-gold-coast-shimmer-elizabeth-cashew" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://couture.zappos.com/kate-spade-ne ... eth-cashew</a>)

You guys, I am about to cry.

I just got my eyebrows waxed at a new salon today (I know, I know, but my other place was booked until Christmas and they were looking ratty as shit) and the lady who did them fucked them all up. I look horrible.

I wanted Camilla Belle...in fact, I even mentioned that I have been trying to grow them out and I just wanted them cleaned up around the edges. She gave me Marlene Dietrich.

Seriously, I look like this: (spoilered because it's a massive photo of ugly eyebrows)

There's not even a shape. No angled arch, not even a straight line--nothing. It looks like a single-file line of hairs is making a perfect half-circle above my eyes. I hate her with every fiber of my being right now.

Is there any way I can fix this? I cannot stomach the thought of going through the entire holiday season looking like an overplucked Karen Elson. I have a brow pencil, but I don't even know if that's enough to fix the horrible mess she left behind. Any other makeup wizardry I can use?

    Try anastasia's brow gel...
Use a pencil to make them seem less sparse, and then the gel to makes the hairs you have fuller.

That's all I can suggest til they grow back in.

I am so sorry to hear this. It's too many bad experiences like this that have led me to not trust anyone but myself with brow maintenance. Double on what shimmered said. Anastasia brow products are a life saver for overdone brows. I used to swear by this stuff when I had dark brown hair: http://www.sephora.com/brow-wiz-P202633?skuId=1056084

Sorry but I just can't understand why anyone would pay someone else to wax their eyebrows. It takes 10 seconds to trim them up with the same razor you shave your legs with.

Only a fool would let a motherfucking razor anywhere near their eyebrows. Eww and hell no.

My wife only waxes hers. It's always even, fast and safe that way for her. I'm sure it stings, but a fuck-up on an eyebrow would make you look like a retarded freak for weeks.

I'm a guy, and every hair I don't like gets the razor.

Seriously, explain to me why? Don't you shave your vagina with a "motherfuckin razor"?
