I got some reps about this about the Talking Dead. I do not watch the Talking Dead nor did I watch Talking Bad or whatever. I don't mind listening to Chris Hardwick in podcast form, I just can't fucking stand watching the guy. I love stand-up, I love all sorts of stand-up, there is very little stand-up I don't like...but I could not get through 10 minutes of his stand-up. Something about him just rubs me the wrong way.

I also don't care too much for the show content, the actors can't really stay anything/don't stay anything, the non-related guests of the show are just excited to be there and I rather read the A.V. Club reviews or Hitfix reviews to get the fun theories, comic book related stuff, or what could be next.

Now, it would be awesome to watch that fire just sit there and be on fire, but I fast forward so quickly through the Talking Dead stuff I didn't even know she was going to be on it. My DVR is not set to record the Talking Dead at all.

I set my DVR to record the 1:30 am version of TD or whatever it is. And, Chris Hardwick doesn't bother me, but I do fast forward through all the crap. I enjoy when they have the EP's or directors on there and getting sneak peek stuff. I had never seen Michael Cudlitz (Sgt Abraham) interviewed before. I assumed he was going to be all, "grunt grunt, hulk smash" but it was interesting hearing him speak about his character and his craft. (I also had no idea that he is 50 years old.)

Yeah, that guy is in great fucking shape. I'm by no means a fat ass, but he's at least 30% more fit than I am at 28. Fuck.

I loved him as Bull on Band of Brothers. I like his character quite a bit, and overall I thought this season was excellent. I really like the development of Rick. That whole 'You should have stopped' bit floored me.

I was shocked to see the actress who plays Beth is almost 30. She really does look 16, and played it convincingly. She must have Seth Green Disease or something.

Yes! I think the Walking Dead needs to work in more of this deadpan humor. This shit is just so damn funny. I truly believe Rick would not have killed him if he stopped. He did not stop. He died. It is so straight forward, it just makes it so damn funny.

Just binge watched the whole season the past few days. This show is just one huge mess and it feel like the producers don't have a clear idea of where ultimately they want to take the show. They just seem to use the set pieces from what I gather came from the comic book (the farm, the prison, Terminus, etc) as launch pads for their effects department. I think the Terminus whiff this season is the worst Ive seen them handle a extended storyline. A season long set up with a big cliff hanger ending. Carol walks in saves everyone with a sniper rifle and a bottle rocket and the left over remnants are killed an episode or so later. Moving right along to a hospital storyline that was never explained with any sort of clarity. Moving along. Was the mullet neck beard retard in the comic book? If he was his so far totally useless storyline is a prime example of what producers should have cut so any other stronger storyline could have gotten more time.

Since nothing really has been set up Im not too excited for the next part of the season. The Meh continues.

I love this show. That being said, I couldn't agree with you more. It seems to me that they aren't even trying to develop the story any more. I hope they do better with the spin-off where they don't have the comics to fall back on for set pieces.

Oh fuck you TWD. Fuck you hard. How fucking dare you? God damn it. God damn you to hell. I'm legitimately upset. I am upset. I am emotionally upset. God damn it. Now I know how those poor GoT fans felt when the Red Wedding happened. Son of a bitch.

Also, I believe the "It's okay. It's better now" is a meta commentary on the show via the showrunners. Well done fuckers, well done.

    Well, I hated to see
    Chad Coleman
go, but he sure did a fine job with that. That episode felt like it's ramping up - like you can't see the crazy scientist in the corner, but you can hear that buzz of the electrical current as he's turning both knobs past the red line. Good stuff.

    Clearly, that neighborhood was
overrun and taken down by people, not zombies
. So, that sort of stuff is just going to galvanize Rick & Co even more. Heaven help anybody, living or undead, in their way as they
    head to DC
    .

No need with all the spoilering right? If you're not caught up, don't check the thread, I thought that was policy.

Yeah, apparently there is another big bad coming based off some half ass spoiler I saw on the interwebs. It's sad, but the source material is a comic book and there are going to be comic book elements like bad guys constantly coming. You want something slightly different in a show, but it's how it is.

I liked this last episode, I like the hinting to the end, I like the story arc for the character, and I like that they have recalibrated themselves. Also, they can only have 2 black dudes on the show at any given time. They're just going to keep switching out Wire characters as they go along. Marlow HAS to come on this show at some point right?

This is kind of what I was going by:

    The Pop Culture Board Rules
Then, Nett posted Spoiler Rules, that lead to a discussion, which resulted in this:
But, you're probably right. If you don't want any spoilers, you may not want to visit the thread.

If theyre staying true to the comics, they dont actually go to DC...

They go to Alexandria, just outside of it. And the next bad guy is Negan, who is way worse than the Governor.

I mean it's as good as they've done a single character's death in a while. Hopefully they do SOMETHING this season.

He was my favourite character. They did that well, although not a very exciting episode. Isn't that place a gated community? Where are they going, shouldn't they set up shop sooner or later since Mullet McNeckbeard can't do anything in D.C?

I saw somewhere that the showrunners wanted to extend his death, because in if you weren't really factoring in the break, Beth just died a quick sudden death. Having those back to back isn't good.

This episode reminded me of one of the Season Openers for the Sopranos, the one where Tony has the dream that he's a businessman. This had the same feel to it.

Overall, I didn't care for this episode that much, I really thought the characters were not really playing to type. Hopefully, the trek to the next destination brings about some more solid storylines.

I really liked this character and I love the actor a lot. Watching him struggle through the difficulties of committing violence was interesting but fuuuuuuuck that was a long ass death scene. On one hand I appreciated that they let him go out fighting but the hallucinations were taxing after a time. It was also jarring to watch little Chris Rock cry with no tears, hobble faster than the people behind him were running and to see Cutty not clear that room properly before getting all nostalgic with the photographs on the wall. Come on son.

Within two episodes they killed off the last two characters with a shred of humanity, everyone else is just... walking dead........
