That episode would have been one thousand times better if Cutty had hallucinations about starting a gym with the young black twins using their shitty older brother as a speed bag. On the real. Can Washington be eventful? Please? We either need that, repeated gigantic zombie fights like the one that took place at the gate in this past episode (slow motion decapitations, bullet time, etc), or Maggie's tits. It's AMC, so I'm not holding my breath on that last one. Make it happen, fuckwads.
Even though it seems like she/they don't bathe that often I think Michonne has a rocking body. Maggie though, wouldn't need a shower, she can be as dirty as she wants.
Meh. I thought for sure we'd get some kind of high intensity drama/ action after the death last week. That was sort of lame. And, I know the "clean guy" at the end is supposed to make us have questions, which it does. But, I was more curious about: - they are somewhere between Atlanta and DC, almost to Richmond, I think. This is my neck of the woods, and there is no freaking way they can't find water. Do you know how green this part of the world is? And, if the lack of being able to find water is because of some added dimension to this apocalyptic world, then that should've been handled in the narrative. Either, it's flat out explained, or the characters themselves muse "why can't we find water? This doesn't make sense." as a mystery to be explained later. - I didn't get the dump the zombies in the creek (hello? is that creek bed dry, too? show it!) method of attack. I mean, that's fine, but what exactly to Sasha F'up by stabbing them instead? Father Gabriel is in Lori zone, and I wish he would hurry up and die. I don't have any use for his character. Let's go, WD. Pick it up.
Obviously Morgan left them the water. I think he's been keeping his distance the whole time as foreshadowed in early episodes. That episode was essentially ZZZZZZZZZ. I know it was to show how burnt out they are, but this weary-from-the-road stuff is getting boring. This show has so much padding between the good moments you wonder what it would be like if it were 8-10 episodes per season and they cut all the unnecessary filler out.
I didn't think that at all. I thought the "new dude" at the end left the water for them. I know Morgan was potentially keeping his distance, but, unless he climbed on top of a car as they left, wouldn't he have had to steal one that's gassed up at the same time as them when they headed to DC? It would be weird for him to have that much water available to easily transport alone, even if he did track them down. But, "new dude" is obviously part of a bigger group, who would have those resources, right? I may be wrong, and I haven't read the comics.
I agree with Rush. I think the clean guy left them the water, considering he said he was a "friend" when he introduced himself to Maggie and Sasha. Also, it looks like from the previews that the new guy is drawing them into some sort of trap? Which could have been why they left him the water in the first place. The thing I found really stupid was that after the storm, it looked like a tornado struck down all those trees surrounding the barn. I'm supposed to believe that a storm with winds that strong didn't do any damage to that little rickety barn? Please.
If he is drawing them into a trap, my guess is they soon will be introducing the show's/story's primeval. If you read the graphic novels, you know the name. Spoiler His name is Negan and he is not nice.
It is possible. We had one tear down a barn and a shed but only took two pieces of metal roofing and sheet of plywood from the house.
Spoiler So when Sasha was randomly slashing zombies and nicked Abraham with the knife covered in zombie blood, does that mean Abraham is going to turn or does it have to be a bite?
I don't think that's foreshadowing or anything like that. I think the point of showing that and Abraham's reaction was more to show how reckless Sasha was being. Because, in the past, they have been all over the zombie blood, covered themselves in guts, slashing, spattering and all that when they had other open wounds. I think they are sticking with the premise that it has to be a bite. (When zombie that doesn't have a stomach eats you, where does it go? See also: do zombies poop?)
The episode was just 'meh' in my opinion. I"m not going to decry the whole season for it though, the first half of this season was fantastic. I haven't read the comic book, but it seems to me at some point they need to settle somewhere. It could be very much like 'The Stand' where the first part is about them just surviving the apocalypse, then the second half was about how they rebuild society and the problems that go along with that.
Probably one of the best episodes in a while. It's interesting to see how apprehensive Rick and crew are at the prospect of normalcy in Alexandria. And it's even more interesting that they, and the audience, are waiting for the other shoe to drop the whole time. The chick holding the scissors when she cuts his hair, the confiscation of the guns, the douchey supply run guy, all seem like they would start lending to another Woodbury, but don't so far. The best part was Carol's taped interview where's doing the PTA Mom routine, it's like she was cosplaying as a normal person and knew it.
As they were walking up to the gate, did Carl see Spoiler somebody in that window? What person is living outside the gates? Was it a Zombie? Or Lori's ghost? Or, was it just that girl he followed later, since we know she can sneak out and disappear? (I can't rewatch the episode to pause it because my provider isn't on the list.)
Im pretty sure it was Spoiler the anti-social girl he met inside. As for the town, when something is too good to be true...it is. The question is what will we find out that makes this place depraved?
Spoilers for those who want the broad strokes of how things in Alexandria go: Spoiler If they follow the comics, its (for the most part) exactly what it appears to be. In the comics they stay at Alexandria for a long time and are still there in some regard as of the most recent volume, which could translate to a few seasons in the show at the least. The problems arise when they start making contact with other communities in the area to set up trade routes. Thats when shit starts hitting the fan.
Darryl's "you look ridiculous" line to Carol, and the fact that I don't have to look at Rick's awful beard anymore.
