I just wrapped the first season. It's clearly a farce, and as such it can be a bit much at times, but when it hits it hits. I think my favorite part about it is watching and not knowing which lines were scripted and which Zach Woods made up on the spot and forced the rest of the cast to just roll with.
I've been watching ReBoot on Amazon prime. To say that it's good would be too kind, but it's very watchable. Hearing good things about Andor as well!
That girl is just so strange looking. At least some ex-GOT cast members are getting decent work, though.
Never played the game, however the gamer community regards it as the highest art and far above other character-driven “survival” games. I’ll definitely check it out, despite it being centred around the annoying buddy-cop cliche of “At first they can’t stand each other, BUT….”
Hubs plays the game. I don't think he finished it yet. I enjoy watching it while he plays and will definitely be up for watching this movie.
Even better! Given sufficient funding and talent, you can tell a much better story over several episodes.
I find myself getting frustrated at the pace of movies these days. The contrast between the high production value and such a simple or shitty story annoys me. Writers have so much more time to unwind stories and intrigue over a season of episodes.
Anyone else watch Wednesday? I really enjoyed it. Fester and Gomez were a little off in the casting but they didn't detract from the show. It was light (metaphorically speaking) and fun.
I did. I posted about it in the "Recommend A Show" thread. I enjoyed it and hope it gets another season. I said the same thing about the casting of Gomez, but I think Fred Armisen is so funny, I enjoyed his take on Fester.
Just saw that Season 3 of Jack Ryan just dropped... nice! I've read all the books (or listened to the audiobooks), and consider the series to be an enjoyable escape, and I have to say really like how they've done that show. And as much as I wasn't sure about the initial casting of John Krasinski, dude knocks it out of the park and is totally believable. I guess I know what I'm doing for the next few days.
I just started watching Jack Ryan a couple of weeks ago and finished Season 1 and have a couple of episodes left of Season 2. It has been pretty fun so far.
