w00t! Just got back from a mediocre Xmas day at my sisters to find out that 6 new episodes of LetterKenny just dropped. Tonight is going to be a good night.
Me and the wife, had a night with no kids so we watched all 4 of the Witcher mini series. I really enjoyed it, liked it better then season 2.
The animated one, pre-geralt? I really enjoyed that one too. Excellent story. I found the art style a little distracting, it felt like I was watching Castlevania (another animated series I highly recommend).
Season 3 was good. Better than 2, I think. It did a good job of showing the tension in the grey areas that Tom Clancy is so good at. Krasinski and Michael Kelly fit well. Good stuff.
Has anyone watched Kaleidoscope on Netflix? Supposedly, you can watch the episodes in any order. It's heist / thriller limited series. I've only watched "Yellow" so far.
I watched The Last of Us thinking I was going to be able to binge it, wanted to go to the second episode and remembered it was HBO. Dangit. But, I liked it.
Never played the game, but the show's premiere was pretty good. The scene where they're escaping their town in Texas was awesome.
It's almost a shot for shot remake of what the game does, and that's fine! The game is great, fantastic story that really goes places.
The biggest complaint online that I've seen so far (that I agree with) is that he hasn't died 5 times to get where he is so far.
That would actually be a pretty clever twist. Like if he had to be resuscitated once each episode - defib, mouth-to-mouth, units of blood / plasma, etc.
If you like Nate Bargatze, check out his latest special on Amazon Prime. I especially laughed so hard during the "golf with his wife story."
Jeremy Clarkson may be a giant twat, but he makes good TV. Clarkson's Farm, season 2, just dropped. If you haven't seen season 1, I highly, HIGHLY recommend it... it was legit laugh-out-loud funny in parts, and overall well worth the watch.
New season of Naked and Afraid started and man, I don't know about this show anymore. It use to be that you get one survival tool each but this season started off with them having a knife, pot/pan, fire starter and a bow. Shit, they even gave them an archery glove. I figured they were Super Fans or whatever they're called but no, she's a survivalist with over a million followers on YouTube. I remember an early episode where the guy cut himself and he was very concerned about not having a way to clean the wound. Now you call for a medic and they'll come dress the wound for you. I think it's gone from a survival show to a will power show.
