Yeah... "Oh, let's make Higgins a woman...", and destroy 2 Ferraris like this is a modern day Dukes of Hazzard... and shitty CGI... I was willing to give it a try, but am pretty well one-and-done.
The original Magnum was done at the right time and the right way, and it was tailor-made for a guy like Selleck. This will probably go the way of most other 80’s show remakes.
That is true. And Nick Nolte was almost Han Solo. Luckily that set carpenter who hated using stuntmen was available for the role instead.
Noho Hank is one of the best new characters in TV. Bill Hader is brilliantly miscast, he plays a contract killer quite well.
Yeah, the wife and I binge watched season 1 and now caught up on season 2. Great show but surprised how few people I know are watching it. Taylor's "Leroy Jenkinssssss" about had me falling out of my chair.

I was just about to post it. It sure is ambitious for a show about a video game, and Cavill quit Superman for this. Dude is still gigantic, though.
I was a huge fan of the original graphic novel, as well as the movie... so I'm hoping this goes well:
Anyone else NOT excited with how this looks? So Picard comes out of retirement because he has to save the galaxy with some McGuffin or something. That doesn’t look or feel like TNG at all. If they just brought him back because he wanted to explore more, that would have been fine. Also, how are they going to explain why Data got fat?
Im guessing if they have any significant role for Data they'll either CGI him thinner or just explain his physical appearance away by claiming it was a choice he made to "feel more human" like they did his "aging" in the final episode of TNG. Im excited for this. I don't know what to think of the more cinematic take on the series this seems to have. I watched the first two episodes of Discovery and was ehh about it, maybe that became more episodic as the series progressed I don't know. I loved DS9's shift away from it for the feel of that show but TNG was always great as a weekly problem solving monster of the week story telling. Interested in seeing this ones take. Also I hope they bring back Q. Great foil and great story telling with a character like that. Reading further they signed the actor reprise Hugh the borg from the I borg, one of the best episodes of the entire series.
