I left push notifications for Kik on overnight. When I went to sleep, my battery was around half. I woke up to 2% battery. I deleted Kik. That shit is crazy.
Unless I'm actually IM'ing, I'm not having these battery issues. If I leave the conversation, then my phone (HTC EVO) resorts to its usual (shitty) battery life.
Not to mention that it's kind of elitist and unfair to those of us that don't have smartphones/aren't adept at the keyboard enough to be a productive member of a chat. We would miss all the fun! (<=== is the latter)
Dude. You are HELLA underestimating me. I would fuck just about anything at this point, except unfortunately HotWheelz. He deserves better (and I long for active participation and HOLY FUCK this conversation took a weird turn)!
Nice save, adding that qualifier. You never know, might get a plane ticket and a case of condoms in your mailbox tomorrow.
I noticed that Kik has been pretty dead all week... Chater, would a move to Windows Live Messenger not be better? I did some reading up on it (Googled) and it's cross-platform compatible, including for people without smartphones since it'll run on WAP (I can vouch for that - my old Nokia 6300 could use it and this was 3-4 years ago). The other plus is you can turn it off, which is seemingly impossible with Kik, so your battery doesn't get eaten up. You could also log in to it from home and not just from your mobile phone, so there's that too. The only minus is you have to have a Hotmail account or an MSN passport to sign in to it with. Thoughts?
