That final 6-7 minutes was ridiculously off-dick good. There's honestly been improvements every episode, but as individual scenes go, I can't imagine one grabbing my total attention as well as that did.

Fantastic episode. My question is do they kill the biker next episode, once they get the location of Ledeoux out of him?

And that scene at the bar with Woody and Wooderson was phenomenal.

    'You can't smell crazy pussy?'

    Priceless.

That was such a great episode. Although I'm surprised he didn't hunt down and kill the hottie. I know I'd be murderous.

That undercover op was a video game on nightmare mode.

It's easy to make an action scene exciting. It is NOT easy to make one terrifying, which is exactly what Cary Fukanaga accomplished. He made drywall explode and bullets whiz by all sides of the cameraman, making you feel like you were right inside it. Everywhere you looked it was mayhem, plus McC had to pull off dirty pool fight choreography at the same time. I had to watch it several times just to drink it all in.

It's an excellent show all around but that scene was just perfection on all levels. The show gives very little away and keeps me guessing which is nice, anyone have predictions for next week?

I can't predict anything except that this will climax in the present and not the past. Rust and Marty could either be resources or suspects, I can't tell. This won't end with Reggie LeDoux. Speaking of which I can't wait to meet this guy, it said on his rap sheet that he's 6'7".

Who KNOWS what happens next? The final blow will have to be the heaviest.

"Death created time to grow the things that it would kill."

The show's deep gothic dread continues to mount and mount. That entire episode made me feel like I was being tapped on the shoulder in the dark every five minutes, you can't tell what's foreshadowing or symbolism, and it drives you right up the wall.

The bust was so fucked up. Two kills for the hall of fame, one badass the other fucking hilarious. Now the show is completely in its own driver seat, I have no clue where it's going for the final two hours and I love it. I can't imagine how hard they'll yank the rug out for underneath us all, and you know it's coming.

However, there is no way that Rust is the killer. He's still trying to solve the crime, and I think that high-and-mighty evangelist has something to do with it. Maybe the half-retarded landscaper is patsy killer too. Of course I could be completely wrong. They are making Woody look like he's starting to lose it too but he chooses to hide it.

I like how Marty and Rust still have each other's backs despite their falling out. They're both very smart and not falling for the facade the other detectives are throwing at them.

They definitely had undertones that the Evangelist could have connections to it. It's tough to guess where it will go because there are two unreliable narrators. Puts everything in doubt when the both lied on numerous occasions to keep the case and solve it the way it ended up playing out.

If you go back to the first time the Evangelist appears, when he makes the sign of the cross, he does so backwards. A way sometimes linked to Satanism.

There are a whole host of references (well, mostly to a single work/genre) in this show: http://io9.com/the-one-literary-reference-you-must-know-to-appreciate-1523076497

If you look closely at the swastika tattoo on Ledoux's chest, it actually appears to be Cthulhu.

Great episode. My current theory is that after finding out about the ongoing rituals/killings, Rust tries to bring the case back up and is shut down because of Tuttle. Tuttle is the high and mighty evangelist who owns the school he is searching at the end of episode 5, and who is now also dead. Killed by a bad mixture of medication. I think Rust is still working the case 10 years later and is killing off the group involved in it.

Also, right now I think Marty is involved in it somehow.

I hope that it doesn't play out as a simple, "Rust did the killings," because from the very first episode they were foreshadowing that he was a suspect, and that kind of ending would be just so predictable.

    Somewhat unrelated...

I bought the album with the theme song on it. Jesus, I've never heard a darker set of songs in my life. People who suffer depression ought not listen. The theme song track is the most upbeat song on the whole album.

    Yet, I still enjoyed it.

So for those of you who don't watch Banshee, that's Lili Simmons. What do you think of her?

Loved that episode. Marty's rage towards those kids was perfect, equally with the knock-down drag-out in the parking lot.

Rust seeing the female victim was devastating. The girl sold being a broken wing so horribly well. Realizing he was duped into a revenge fuck... Holy shit did McC's face die a thousand deaths in ten seconds. This is probably the best work of his career. However, Rust fucking Mrs. Hart was this series' first cliche. That wasnt necessary in my books.

I loved how the episode ended. I was waiting for that to happen, I'm hoping for some vintage Shyamalan twist that shatter the floor. Two more episodes, still so much could happen.

That girl was painfully hot. And that ass.

I think the revenge fuck was above and beyond Marty's cheating. While both were bad, hers was a solid heart shitting life destroyer. I'm surprised he didn't actually kill her.

And I have no idea where this is going. Since he's off the force and we are up to date now, who knows what sort of shit Rust had been up to?

Definitely not getting his broken taillight fixed. Which makes me wonder what he has been driving since 2002.

My guess is Tuttle has a lot to do with it. His name has surfaced several times in connection with the disappearances. My guess is the 'twist' will also include certain police/politicians involved in the cover up.

Given the coming attractions, I doubt highly Rust had anything to do with it. He's been slowly piecing it together in his own way, quietly, and probably has come to the realization that the only justice possible will have to be meted out by Marty and him.

He might need Marty to make an arrest when it comes to it because Rust doesn't have that power anymore. I'd like to see how Rust has been living this whole time.

I understand that the show is entirely make-believe, but MAN. I felt so bad for Rust when the penny dropped an he realized what she had lured him into. What an unbelievable thing to do...pretty much sexual assault. Here's a guy who's hanging on to his sanity by a thread, has had his career fall apart THAT DAY, and he thinks he's being thrown a lifeline in the form of a person who can connect to him, and bam. Nothing but a revenge fuck.

Kudos to McConnaghey...his performance in that scene was nothing short of brilliant.
