In the original they flew F-14 Tomcats. The Navy officially retired the F-14 15 years ago. Fuck I'm getting old.
Another M:I movie that looks fantastic. And, another one where Tom Cruise is doing his own crazy stunts. I saw some of that footage from when he was jumping the motorcycle off the cliff. Dude is 100%.
Fucking god damn tired of having to have 95 streaming subscriptions to watch what I want. Going to fuck around and get me back into pirating. Also, the original movie is an underrated 90s gem.
The bullshit fragmentation pushed me back to pirating. I was a long time Netflix subscriber when they had most things. I have Amazon Prime, not primarily for the streaming but the streaming is convenient. That, with the occasional digital purchase, was perfectly fine. All of this fragmentation is ridiculous, though. It's no longer convenient. Hell, I even tried again - I thought, Discovery+ advertises Food Network, I like Food Network, so great! Let's try that. Except Discovery+ is 1-3 seasons behind on all of the Food Network shows, and they play ads too, so WTF am I paying for? Certainly not the rest of the fucking garbage on that network. I'm down to only Prime, now. Everything else can eat my ass. Once I have to pirate half the shows, it's just as easy to pirate everything.
I've been thinking about dropping Netflix lately. Prime does pretty well, and Disney+ captures about everything else that I want to watch. Worse comes to worst, I'll just stop watching television.
Paramount Plus is actually the only one for me that has stuff I know Ill actually sit down and binge at some point. Might ditch Netflix for it. Id be all for pirating but dont want the harassment letters from the companies. Are VPNs still viable for this? Figured at some point the media companies would get hip to it and pressure service providers to throttle bandwidth through them or some such nonsense.
I told my daughter when Stranger Things is done so is Netflix. It just is not putting out enough good content to keep up with others.
I am also looking forward to the new Beavis and Butt-Head movie. I agree that the first movie was good, but it was still not as funny as the TV show. I'm also excited for the King of the Hill revival. I have Paramount+, Amazon Prime, and cable. Cable is still more practical to me than probably any streaming service, since I watch sports and news programs more than anything else. I also don't like having to rely on a steady Internet connection to watch anything. My Internet connection has been hit or miss wherever I've lived for the last 12 years, though where I live now it generally doesn't cause a problem when I watch on my laptop. Amazon Prime is great because it comes with other perks while actually serving as a viable substitute for Blockbuster. Netflix never really did unless you ordered the DVDs in the mail, but I don't think I know anyone who ever actually did that. I have Paramount+ because of South Park (I still need to watch Streaming Wars) and Survivor (my guilty pleasure). I may have to get Netflix though, at least temporarily, for That '90s Show.
Since y'all are saying you're cancelling Netflix, here's precisely why I'm not. This is one of the greatest comics ever, and while I'm not completely sure they can do it justice, this looks like a very good attempt
