If I had to take a shot in the dark on the plot, I'd guess he'll be brought in by some other family to rescue someone that's been kidnapped. And in the original movie he absolutely played a compelling character, especially when held up against any of the neverending stream of sequels that are coming out these days. I don't remember his character's name either, but that was mostly because virtually nobody he encountered in Europe knew who he was in the first place so it was hardly mentioned after the first 20 minutes.
The Three Musketeers Is going to suck balls. Why can’t Hollywood just make a good action film anymore? Gritty rather than flamboyant, grounded in reality rather than in the Matrix? Shits me.
How many "The Three Musketeers" films is that, already? There are at least 10 by my count, with the first one being in 1921, the last one in 2005, and the last major Hollywood production being in 1993. The one from 1973, starring Charlton Heston, Faye Dunaway, and Raquel Welch, was a classic, but that's about it. As for the trailer, it's the stupidest fucking thing I have ever seen, and that is saying a lot, considering the Mongoloid idiocy in the trailers in this topic alone. I can overlook that it has nothing in common with the book and is basically a shitty 3D action movie, but is the Queen sword-fighting? Did I really just see that? If you're going that route, why not make it over-the-top and funny then, go balls to the wall? Have King Louis XIII have an epic duel with Cardinal Richelieu while angry French midgets eat frogs and Milady is doing a striptease for Athos? At least then there would be an element of excitement.
Joseph Gordon Levitt is playing Alberto Falcone in The Dark Knight Rises. A very good character for the Nolanverse. For people who aren't familiar, he's also known as the Holiday Killer, a vigilante who murders mobsters. Put him along with Bane and possibly Cat Woman, and the next installment should be very interesting. Thank Christ it's not the Riddler.
Am I the only one that thinks Nolan could have done something really fucking cool with the riddler? I don't know many of his comic background stories, and his previous incarnation in film and tv have been terrible, but I think Nolan could have made something really special with him as a villain. Im also not really on the JGL train yet. He was alright in Inception terrible in GI Joe, have I missed some recent movie of his where he absolutely kills it? People here heap so much praise on him...
I was under the impression this was a rumor that some movie sites picked up as fact and got wildly circulated, and haven't seen it confirm by anyone involved in the movie. Did you pick it up from a movie blog, or has it actually been confirmed by someone involved with the movie?
I don't get it, either. In all of the films I have seen him in, from "10 Things I Hate About You" to "500 Days of Summer" to "Inception", he has been...decent. A respectable performance from a legitimate professional actor. Nothing more, nothing less. I'm also not sure what the crazy hype is about, or where it originated from. While they're both a decade older, compare Joseph Gordon-Levitt to someone like Jeremy Renner or John Hamm, (both actors who I consider phenomenal and mesmerizing) and it's like a prep star versus Adrian Peterson; totally different classes.
Well I was more jazzed up about the character not necessarily the actor. From what I hear, Brick is supposed to be a good movie where he brings it home. I haven't seen it though. As for the Riddler, I think Nolan went against it to not seem similar to the Joker. He also stated in interviews he finds the Riddler boring.
It seems to be exactly the same. I can't see it beating the first one. I mean, stealing Mike Tyson's tiger? Hope I'm wrong though, it was quite an enjoyable movie.
"Something defeated our greatest warrior." So now some human has the ring, he will have to overcome the doubts of the other lanterns, his girlfriend will get abducted and in the end he beats the bad guy. I'm willing to bet I'm not far from the mark on this one. It's also nice to see they still haven't cleaned up the CGI. It's not like the movie kind of relies on special effects.
I dunno about this, but with the original director.... George Miller will be directing Mad Max: Fury Road, due out in 2013. Tom Hardy will be playing the Road Warrior, with Charlize Theron and Zoe Kravitz in the cast.
I accidentally posted this in the video game thread a week ago. The world needs another badass samurai flick (no thanks Tom).
Michael Shannon of Boardwalk Empire fame has been confirmed to play Zod in the new Superman film. As much potential as this may have, if Brandon Routh comes back, I'll boycott it.
All signs have pointed to that he won't. Amy Adams WILL play Lois Lane, though. She's one of my favourite actresses but let's face it: Lois Lane is a thankless role for those that play it.
Superman was cast almost 3 months ago. <a class="postlink" href="http://screenrant.com/henry-cavill-superman-cast-rob-98786/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://screenrant.com/henry-cavill-supe ... rob-98786/</a>
Guess who directs this? Marcus Fucking Nipsel, the hack who directed the remakes of Texas Chainsaw and Friday the 13th plus the equally worthless viking film Pathfinder. Jason Mamoa (Drogo from Game of Thrones) as Conan. It will suck, disgrace Robert Howard, and the original film.
