There is supposed to be another villian, someone we haven't seen. Marvels been keeping the lid on it, rumors are on some type of Skrull. There also may be the cosmic cube, as it was in the teaser at the end of Thor, which would make things interesting. Possibly Red Skull with the cube? If it turns out be be just Loki, I agree that's just weak.
It was the Red Skull who got ahold of the Cosmic Cube in the comic (usually "smart" villains go for shit like that), but it kind of takes the wind out of the sails of the plot of you have a weapon that can do anything to anyone you want. Maybe Whedon is hiding details, and maybe more characters will be revealed. We can hope.
What...the....FUCK. And I thought NORMAL Nazis were horrible and hilarious. I have to give props for originality and art direction (seeing as pretty much every single weekend of 2011-12 has some sort of alien movie released), and Udo Kier is one of the most coolest and most awesome character actors ever. I just might see this. This could be the sleeper of the year, or the biggest bomb.
It's directed by Timur Bekmambetov, the ultimate style-over-substance director. Sorry, but I fucking HATED Wanted and to a lesser extent Nightwatch, they were completely ham-fisted films I wish I did not care for at all. Still, this could be over-the-top fun. Too bad the idiot who played Beast in X-Men First Class in in the lead. Have't they done this sort of thing before?.... Spoiler This isn't a concept movie, it's actually one of Seth-Grahame-Smith's novels, who has another of his semi-works coming out next year with Natalie Portman: Spoiler
Actually, Nicholas Hoult isn't in the movie from what the first page about it on IMDB says. He is playing Jack in Jack the Giant Killer though. Maybe that's what you're thinking of. Benjamin Walker, whoever that is, is playing Abraham Lincoln.
You are right, I was confused. Walker actually walked out of the role as Beast in XMFC and was replaced. However, this guy played Harlon in Flags Of Our Fathers. Great movie. I NEVER have used IMDB, if you believe that.
I'd scoff at this movie any other time, but if there is an actor of actress I love, I'll usually go see whatever movie they are in regardless of it's merits. In this case, I'd do unspeakable things to Mary Elizabeth Winstead. You can mark me down for a matinee showing. edit*(I didn't even see that Alan Tudyk is in it as well. I might even spring for a night showing after learning that.)
That made it look about ten times more awesome. It's not often I have two comic book movies to look forward to. I'm not looking forward to the Spider-Man remake. At all. It's fucking stupid to make that movie in the first place, for no reason start a series again, and The Lizard looks like Killer Croc' in it. The ONLY reason I would start the series again is to not fuck up Venom this time, the best comic villain there is. Pass.
I could not agree more. That fucking killed the whole series right there. Where the fuck was Jeremy Renner or something? I bet Jake Jyllenhal was next in line after Topher.
