Re: Re: Upcoming Movies Thread "Hey, we're alone out in the middle of nowhere with no water (wtf) and I'm fucking dehydrated!" "Not to worry guy, I brought some Capri Suns!" And what the hell were they doing driving around with one truck the whole movie? With no fucking gunner!
Re: Re: Upcoming Movies Thread At six hundred yards no less. I thought it was highly over ratted. Very fun but not best picture material. Hell Avatar should have won on technical aspects alone, since the story was about as compelling.
Restrepo was pretty good. But yeah I read the book too, it was solid but I don't think Marky Mark is the guy for that role.
The Avegers: Age Of Ultron will come out May 1st 2015. Thanos is not the villain, but is in next summer's Guardians Of The Galaxy. So again, the crew will fight an enemy that cannot, under any circumstances, be killed. This Batman vs. Superman shit people keep bringing up is the dumbest concept in comic history. To get comic-booky for a moment: One has Batarangs, the other can fly across the country in two minutes and knock moons out of orbit. Explain to me how this is a fight.
Except that Batman always has a contingency plan, has kryptonite, and is more devious that Super could ever dream of being. Looking at just their powers is dumb. Could Superman punch Batman into orbit if he just randomly cold cocked him? Of course. But that would never happen since Supes has a strict moral code. It's been shown time and time again that Batman always has a plan in place to beat any and all of the JLA (See: Tower of Babel and Brother Eye storylines). Granted, in the one storyline (Hush) where you could plausibly say Superman is fighting Batman without moral restrictions due to Superman being mind controlled by Ivy he barely survives, but I'm assuming here in the hypothetical fight they are both of clear mind.
At what point in history did Romans no longer have British accents? This applies to every show or movie ever made about Rome, ever.
At this point I'll watch Jesse from Breaking Bad paint walls and bake bread. I'll watch the fuck out of this.
Definitely a "Shut up and take my money" event here. Especially if he's still rolling off his "I got fucked" vibe carrying over from BB.
Captain America: The Winter Soldier I like the apparent conflict between idealistic Captain America and the cynical present we currently live in.
All I can think of when I see that trailer is a modern day, wall street version of the great gatsby. Maybe it's just because it's about Leo being absurdly rich again. It looks like it could be pretty good though, I'd give it a watch
Im cautiously optimistic, Im not the biggest fan of main characters breaking the 4th wall to narrate the entire movie. Hopefully it's just for the trailers. I saw a cut of that second trailer that had me believing Scorsese fell of the coke wagon, which is to say, it looks sweet. Sidenote: Does Matthew Mcconaughey have the AIDS or something? He looks real emaciated.
