It does look damn good but they are spoiling it by showing us too much. Watching the trailer I can't help thinking that it looks a little too slick and overly CGI'd. I just wish they would go ahead and release the f^&*ing movie.
Justin Lin to direct Star Trek 3 because JJ abrams is to busy with the new star wars. http://deadline.com/2014/12/star-trek-3-justin-lin-director-fast-furious-helmer-1201333753/
Lots of Marvel superheroes, you read up about in the comics, maybe get lost in a Wiki or two (hundred). Once you're done you think "Holy shit, they need to make a movie about this guy/gal!" Ant-Man isn't one of them. But, I really like Paul Rudd being a little less Paul Rudd. And after watching the first season of House of Cards, I got a lot of respect for Corey Stall. It'll be a great blu-ray watch, but unless a lot of friends are going because we're bored as fuck, probably won't see it.
I only know about Ant Man from the Lego Marvel video game, which is to say not much. I'm not sure why that one was chosen to revolve an entire movie around. The trailer wasn't bad, but the fact that they had to address the unfortunate name made me wince.
I think that they're doing ant m an because he was one of the original Avengers, and may have a part to play in the upcoming Civil War storyline. But yeah, Paul Rudd is the only reason I have hope for this movie.
Ron Howard's next film. Based on the (great) book In the Heart of the Sea: The Tragedy of the Whaleship Essex by Nathaniel Philbrick. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/In_the_Heart_of_the_Sea
Like I called it, the two part Infinity War movies will come out May 2018 and 2019. It will combine Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy and whatever other Marvel Universe stories that pop up in between.
Comic book movies are becoming a sensory overload. Some are good, some are bad but it's just too damn much. Between the battling Infinity War and Justice League super-smash-blockbuster-spectacular-franchise fusings, bottomless X-Men sequels.... When will the straw break the camel's back? Because as long as they make money-- which they do like none other-- they will keep cranking them out. I look forward to Dr. Strange as he was one of my faves as a kid, but there's no room for original blockbuster material barely at all, it's comics and comic reboots of comic movies and the reboots of reboots of reboots. And when all these actors get too old to play them, they'll reboot them again. ...and STILL none of them will have been better than Tim Burton's Batman.
Man, I would actually be interested in seeing Fantastic Four, but not with two of the main characters are the creepy asshole from the Divergent movies and Kate Mara who has typecasted herself as a stupid little bitch in House of Cards and American Horror Story. Not even the fact that I heart Michael B. Jordan from his days on All My Children is going to make me see this.
