Yeah this looks pretty cool. There is a clip in preview that is supposedly an incident where Suge Knight beat the shit out of some people in a recording studio. The scene was the impetus for the real life fight that lead to hit and run that landed Suge in jail facing murder charges.
I really enjoyed the first movie. Maybe because I played the games and thought it was a really good adaptation. But I can watch the first one over and over again and not get bored. So I will end up going to this one.
I know this book was a big deal for some people on here and I also loved it. http://variety.com/2014/digital/new...n-thriller-series-from-j-j-abrams-1201310792/ Looks like "11/22/63" is getting made into a 9 hour series on Hulu. Should be interesting provided they don't fuck it up. It was such an incredibly detailed story, which is normal for King. But I hope the casting isn't anyone with a familiar Hollywood face. I want it to be normal people. And I want them to skip nothing. Which I know is a pipe dream, but it seems like every detail was so important in trying to explain the philosophy behind the time travel portal. I guess we shall see.
Apparently it is going to star James Franco http://www.ew.com/article/2015/02/12/james-franco-star-stephen-king-time-travel-series
He's definitely not the worst candidate for the Jake character. He's versatile enough to pull it off and he's not too much of a pretty boy to distract from the story.
Someone in Hollywood is a magnificent bastard. Samuel L. Jackson is the president, crash landed in the woods, hunted by big game hunters, and only one sort of Asian looking kid can save the day. Jesus Christ, I just shed a tear. It's beautiful. You thought I was kidding about the description? So many "mother fuckers" will be spoken. Sam Jackson is going to Sam Jackson the FUCK out of this.
Its a shame its not Hollywood minds at work, this movie is straight-up Finnish, the country's most expensive yet. And the director Jalmari Helander is guaranteed to be sought-after in Hollywood. His last movie was amazing and straight-up fucking nuts: Rare Exports- a movie where scientists unleash the personificaton of evil on this earth.... Santa Claus. It stars th same kid from this movie.
I saw this pop up today... and I think it could be extremely fucking awesome! http://www.forbes.com/sites/insertc...ie-has-a-release-date-casts-marion-cotillard/ I'm a big fan of Michael Fassbender, interesting to see whether he can pull it off.
https://www.yahoo.com/movies/first-aquaman-jason-momoa-photo-111559822907.html Meh. I mean, I'm all for updating the look so it doesn't seem as comic-book-y. It's just that when I look at the picture, I don't think Aquaman. I think Jason Momoa. I don't know if that makes sense.
http://www2.tsn.ca/bardown/Story.aspx?Rocky+7+plot%2c+%22Creed%22+released+today&id=512820 Good god I hope this is fake. Rocky 7.
Does anybody in Hollywood have one single original fucking idea anymore? Who knows, maybe this won't suck. Maybe it will be a GOOD remake for a change. And still, FUCK. YOU. There's a difference between remaking a horror film and remaking a perfect classic that shall not be touched. This movie is the latter. It was a perfect movie, it doesn't need to be remade STOP THINKING OF YOUR WALLETS HOLLYWOOD AND MAKE SOMETHING NEW YOU FUCKING HACKS.
Kevin Smith is planning a sequel to Mallrats! http://variety.com/2015/film/news/mallr ... 201452839/ Smith didn't disappoint with Clerks II, but being able to hit the "good, not great" mark or better on three different sequels that all came out 10-20 years after their predecessors (Clerks III is also in the works) will be a very tough thing to do. Still, it's nice to see Smith going back to his roots.
Did anybody post this yet? I love the M:I movies. I know they're often ridiculous and have confusing plot holes, but they are entertaining. Looking forward to it.
The new MI with Simon Pegg is awesome... adds just the right amount of levity to make it not take itself too seriously. I'm also looking forward to this.
Lots of people hate on Tom Cruise, but I like watching his movies because he does most of his own stunts, which just makes the whole movie better. Like him running way the fuck up on the outside of the building. There was close ups of him, so you actually saw it was him, not some far away shot.
When he filmed that stunt on the top of that building in Kuala Lumpur, he forced everyone to reshoot the stunt a second time... just so he could go and do it again for shits and giggles. He also tries to write in a bunch of motorcycle stunts into the movies he does, because he loves to ride motorcycles. I think he gets a bad rap... sure, he's a little nutty for being wrapped up in Scientology like he is and that one Oprah clip, but everything I've heard about him has been that he's a great person, and genuine.
