Boba Fett is getting his own film? I was wondering when they were going to once again champion the most overrated character in movie history. Will it climax with his idiotic slapstick death?

If the movie is good, it's good. I'm just hoping that we don't get bombarded with garbage that simply has the Star Wars name tacked on it. My problem here is Disney isn't above slandering there OWN classic movies with countless hastily-and-horribly produced sequels and prequels, Toy Story being one of the very few exceptions.

At least nothing they make can be worse than The Phantom Menace.

Disney's first hack at it was way better than the worst movie before they took over, and it was admittedly a "transition" and "set up" movie.

I'm more than willing to give them the benefit of the doubt until shown otherwise.

Most people who are bitching about the idea of Disney moving forward seem to be the types to have their heads firmly wedged up their asses anyway... meatspace versions of the Comic Book Guy. They're just annoying noise.

It seems as though they're setting up a "Star Wars Universe" a la the Marvel films, using different story lines that they'll connect with the main films. It seems Disney has a LOT of marquee movies planned for this franchise.

Yes. Disney's film division has an interest in making money, since that's sort of their business. It's almost like the they did the deal to acquire the rights with the intention of making money through the films, merchandise and theme park tie ins. Odd.

I had trouble getting past the glued on beard to enjoy that trailer. Maybe it'll seem more natural in the full film.

I think the trailer looks cool. There is so much potential material out there, they could just make Star Wars movies forever, which they might actually do. They make great products and commercialize them very well. They didnt become a Fortune 100 company because they fuck up.

Red band trailer, by the way. So, nsfw - language and boobs.

I honestly can't tell from that if it's going to be "ooh, SNL skit that ran 90 minutes too long" or "hilarious and really quotable!"

Thriller, Also is a pretty funny album title, though, and it appears that being chock full of Will Forte, Bill Hader and Will Arnett could pay off with some good laughs.

Huh I always assumed they had killed off Brent Spiner's character. Guess not.

Somebody got the memo, and a GOOD comic movie is finally getting a sequel. Karl Urban announced Dredd 2 is in pre-production.

    Jack Reacher: Round 2

The first one was a bit of a guilty pleasure. One of those flicks that flat out shames the book. It could have been very easily shit, but turned out pretty damn clever. The Reacher books are awful for me. The character is a 6'5" 250 pound built like a tank, karate expert, Sherlock Holmes type. Doesn't make a compelling hero. Are you telling me there is ANY doubt that monster is going to lose? In one of the books he is referred to as literally bulletproof by a doctor because the muscle mass on his chest is so thick. Now, turning that hulk into a diminutive, cock-sure Tom Cruise was a stroke of genius. He may be a mensa fighter, but he isn't an unstoppable killing machine. You don't see Cruise coming.

As preposterous as the plot looks, probably worth a watch with a couple beers.

Awesome. I didn't picture Cobie Smulders as Major Turner when I read it, but that looks like it works. Should be good. Good timing for an October release, as I think the next Reacher novel is due in November.
