    This actually looks like it might be good.

    The original was scary as fuck. Then it got a little "too fucking stupid."

    Jackie Earle Haley can play the creepy little pedo pretty good. He was incredible in Little Children.
    He's been around since The Bad News Bears, I think he'll be a really good Freddy Krueger.

    The "realism spin" horror films that left their mark like The Blair Witch Project, Paranormal Activity and Open Water have nothing on this movie. It stars Ryan Reynolds as a man buried alive in a casket for the duration of the movie. My palms are sweating already.

    Ouch. Painful. I was SO looking forward to "Machete", and even repped you just for bringing it up. The ORIGINAL TRAILER was a work of art, and I have watched it no fewer than a dozen times;

    The new trailer is boring, stupid, has no continuity, and substitutes a bullshit political message in place of badass action and humor. Fuck. I went from being insanely hyped to not even being sure I want to see it in theaters. Who the fuck is responsible for these disgraceful changes?

    The trailer for 'Machete', but made with Lego. Just pure, undiluted awesomeness.

    What. The. Fuck.

    How do you even pitch something like this, never mind write the cheque to have it made?

    I don't know how a concept like surgical ASS TO MOUTH could be turned down. Other than the absurd plot point it still looks kind of interesting.

    I've heard about this film on a few sites. The trailer Nettdata posted looks hilarious, but I don't know if there is enough absurdity to sustain itself for the whole 90 minutes or however long it is. Usually, these films are quite boring until the two minute pay-off at the end.

    In fact, looking at the reviews, that seems like the main criticism of the movie; boring as fuck until the end, and takes itself way too seriously. The acting from the two girls appears hilariously bad even in the trailer, but then again, what actress with a shred of ability would accept such a role?

    I really enjoyed Anton Corbijn's Control, that came out in '06, so I'm really looking forward to this. He's definitely got a very different, non-"Hollywood" style.

    Isn't this the recipe for every horror flick?

    No? Maybe it is for crappy American horror indie films, but it's definitely not true overall. As a very recent, popular film example, what about "Drag me to Hell", or even "REC"?

    According to wikipedia, the director failed to mention the part about ass to mouth when he pitched the idea of a movie where a doctor sews people together, fearing they wouldn't buy the idea. There is a sequel already set to be filmed this summer. Im about to watch it online. Ill let you guys know.

    By the way, people write checks to these horror films because they are fucking cash cows. A stupid concept film like this can be shot for next to nothing and still rake in 30 million at the box office.

    I usually couldn't care less about casting decisions regarding the Eye Candy, but this was an interesting read, from the person who broke the original story;

    <a class="postlink" href="http://www.deadline.com/2010/05/michael-bays-revenge-no-more-megan" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.deadline.com/2010/05/michael ... more-megan</a>

    Shutting one's mouth seems to be a good idea when you're risking millions of dollars, and stand to gain very little. (Forget the moral arguments)

    New Planet of The Apes prequel staring James Franco. I was a huge Apes fan as a kid, excluding the second and last entries. The Tim Burton abortion was terrible and I hope they make up for it with this. Honestly The Conquest of the Planet of the Apes was the best sequel. Lets hope, without Richardo Montalban, that they don't fuck this up.
