That was the most retarded thing in the entire series, and I’m including the Ewoks movies in this statement. Killed by astral projection. Give me a fucking break. That, and killing off the good villain to leave us with a whiney, tantrum-throwing emo twat.
It looks fun that Jim Carrey is in full on Ace Ventura / Cable Guy mode, but that does look terrible. Detective Pikachu is going to be so big in May that by November, either people will be like, oh another one like that, cool. Or, they'll think, uhh, didn't we just see this movie?
The video does gives a warning, but if you havent seen Avengers Endgame, this trailer will absolutely spoil it for you.
Oh, fuck right off. Wake me up when they stop fucking up this franchise. THIS is the “big rewind” they were talking about? The effects in T2 were better.
The fact that Cameron is attached in some minute capacity seems more like a marketing gimmick they role out every new Terminator Abortion comes out. His "interview" where he claimed Terminator Gynisis was "the spiritual successor" of T2 was just sad. They probably funded a dive to the Mariana's trench for that whopper. Not a Movie but awesome none the less:
Really pumped for this. Interesting that they worked in shots and music from the Kubrick film when the Doctor Sleep book was very clearly based off the novel version of The Shining, which is very different. In any event, I loved the book and it’s one of the best things King put out in years. We’re getting two King movie sequels with this and IT Chapter 2. Awesome.
In The Tall Grass is also due out on Netflix, that one by father and son. I don’t know who the fuck King think he’s fooling thinking Joe Hill is his real son. They look nothing alike: ...tell me that’s not King sitting next to himself in 1985. Hill needs to do cocaine for awhile like his old man did. As dark as a time as it was for King, he laid down the absolute LAW in horror writing during that period of his life. His first era was bar none his best.
It’s funny to me that it sticks in his craw about the movie adaptation of The Shining. In no universe does a movie studio make a sequel to a all time great movie and not take cues from the first film.
He flat-out does not like Kubrick’s version. He hates Shelley Duvall and didn’t like the plot changes and lack of focus on family connection.
If you watch the short documentary Kubrick’s daughter made during the making they were rewriting it day to day shooting and would let jack just improvise.
The book and the film, on their own are both great. My two complaints of the film are first Shelley Duvall who is impossible to tolerate, and that Jack Torrance goes crazy so quickly for how long the film is. Kubrick is a master and a horror film this deliberately paced would be boring if it were to be directed by just about anybody else.
