McNulty would have been patient zero, with the infection having begun somewhere in or around his crotch.
I like his podcast and him in general, but yeah, his comedy is a bit tired. He actually had to beg the network to get rid of the stupid interstitials, which I believe they're done, now that Talking Dead is becoming an hour long show
AND ITS BACK. You know I'm usually subtly attacking people on the board for being overly critical. But Andrea and everything Andrea related on this show is fucking retarded. Her speech was terrible, her conversation at the gate was terrible, her conversation with the Governor was terrible. Her speech with the Woodbury people was so fucking stupid and unbelievable I can't even process it. It took the episode down a lot. Whatever the fuck that is going on with Rick is great though. I can't wait to see how that unfolds. Definite will be reading write-ups tomorrow to figure out exactly who the title "The Suicide King" was talking about. Rick or the Governor.
Re: Re: Walking Dead Season 3 She needs to be killed off as soon as possible, glad I wasn't the only one who thought that episode was seriously hurt by her presence.
That's what stood out to me the most. Just awful. "We want answers! We're all terrified! There is no hope!!" "No guys, let's persevere." "Hey, yeah! Totally! High fives all around!" Overall I thought the episode was pretty good though. It set the stage for what could be a lot of interesting plot lines. Daryl/Merle going off on their own, the possible war (if the governor still has control now that Andea is sooo charismatic), and, of course, Rick going crazy. I never know with this show though, since the start of the series my opinion of it has fluctuated wildly. I thought season one was amazing, I hated most of season two, and now I think it's pretty good again.
Christ every woman on this show is awful. If it weren't for the men, they'd all be dead. Except for Maggie, I'd fuck her with my penis.
Ugh, this episode. Jesus Christ it was bad. It stood out all the more because this season has been good so far. Far from perfect, but good nonetheless. There has been a clear view as to the goals and problems of this group of characters. And I believe that the season will pick itself up down the road and that these pieces just needed to be moved in place. But it could've been handled a little bit more deftly. Rick is being a dick and goes completely batshit insane, instead of just his usual mellow kind of crazy. Daryl acts like an abused wife. Glenn shouts and pouts like a little bitch. Andrea is laughably stupid. But I guess that was needed for future progress. But that's the thing. This season the plot keeps on evolving. The characters on the other hand, not so much. When the action starts, it's fun to watch these people. When they start talking, I just don't care. Except for Daryl, he's awesome. But the Governor hasn't been interesting after his first couple of episodes. Morrisey is doing a good job acting-wise, but the well is drying up. It seems like the writers are afraid to go all out with this character, so he just stays a villain with great promise, but who's simmering menace has just become boring (except for his almost-rape on Maggie, that was some cold shit). And Michonne is one walking deus-ex machina of bad events that could've been prevented if she would just say something. But no, she just keeps her mouth shut like some kind of autistic retard. Even a simple nod when they asked her if she knew Andrea was too much for this cunt. Fuck her and her stupid sword. Unless she's stabbing children in the head, she's annoying the shit out of me.
Actually, I changed my mind again about that. Based on how they're talking about it, about "what he did"....pretty sure he did. I hate Andrea so, so much. Every time I saw her stupid face I would pause the episode and go do something else. Seeing her pop on screen just makes me not want to watch this show. I'd probably fuck Maggie with my penis, too.
I agree. As violent as this show is, I still doubt they could full on show rape on basic cable. Sure makes one eyed Phil a good bit darker.
FX showed Denis Leary's Tommy rape his wife on Rescue me like 7 years ago. I dunno. I'd have to go back and watch that episode again. Glen is certainly acting like she got raped.
I'm pretty sure he didn't rape her. I just don't think they talked about it so he doesn't know exactly, and may not trust her to tell him since he snapped fighting that Zombie in the room. Also, given where Glenn is mentally right now, the idea of mentally raping her, by forcing her to take off his shirt and humiliating her. Anyway, the episode itself wasn't an absolute abortion, just anything related to Andrea, and where the characters had to talk. My biggest issue with the whole "They can't stay, this is the hand we've been dealt" thing they keep coming back to is...the fact they keep coming back to it. How many times can Rick say the same thing. Why didn't anyone say "Hey Rick, THOSE guys were convicted felons, we didn't find these people in jail. HUGE difference. They don't even give off the air of suspicion." Well Hershel did, but come on. I mean anyway someone should have chimed in "Come on now, they're black, we know they won't make it anyway."
I just thought the part at the end of the episode was funny, where the new guys wanted in so badly, and they were winning their case over by being seemingly decent....and then Rick starts talking to the walls and waving his gun around and they're like ok, adios crazypants! Obviously they are going to be sticking around. I bet that they'll try to leave and run into zombies in the dark corridors again and have to turn around or something.
I still like the idea that Merle has been sent undercover by the Governor. There's no way the writers can split Daryl up from Rick and the group for too long, so I think its fairly likely they'll cross paths again soon.
I hate Andrea as much as anyone, but that gay little speech pissed me off because it was a gay little speech, not because she didn't pull it off. Felt like the writers spent two minutes thinking it up, and even less writing the actual dialogue. I'm sure she would have been annoying anyways, but in this instance, I feel like they didn't give her anything to work with. Totally thought that prisoner was gonna go after Carl and Carol, and Carl was gonna kill him. That woulda been sweet. A shame how pointless they're making Michonne. Overall, I thought it was a decent wrap up/launching point episode.
Yeah by no means am I saying the woman playing Andrea is a bad actress. She's great, they literally give her nothing to play with, the writers are definitely handicapping her badly. Everyone is noticing that non Mad-Men AMC women all seem to fucking suck. Skyler is the next example.
