Me too, kinda. The water was too frigid for me to cross and fuck with him. I don't mind going knee deep right now, but my balls do not want to be submerged in that water. That one seemed like the ideal size to combat with, not so small you get made fun of, but not so big that you're too likely to die. I estimate it was just over 6 feet long, and that is no fish story, a real estimation from someone who's job was fundamentally based on dimensions.
How exactly do you "win" in that match? Only receive lacerations but don't lose a limb? Because you sure as shit not going to hurt the gator. When I was 6-8 years old, we were cruising through a FL swamp in our huntin' buggy and my dad sees a ~2' baby gator. He jumps down from the buggy, snatches that little bastard up and pretends like he's going to toss him into the buggy. I'm pretty sure I almost shit myself.
Picture of said hunting buggy. Lot of fun times out in the woods. Feel sorry for kids today growing up in suburbia or the city.
In my mind, I'd say where I can pin it in some position where it can't move, and we both swim away after. Not very realistic, I'll admit, but t I'd wager that we've all had unrealistic expectations in our lives. If I had grown up in Florida, I would probably have a story about trying/ doing this. I grew up in South Texas, and caught rattlesnakes with whatever I could find.
The wind is nuts here tonight. Sustained 35-ish and gusts up to 60mph. Here's to hoping I still have fences up in the morning
Actually fine. Fell right over it. Took out a Japanese maple, few hedges, a rain gutter, outdoor table, screen door and oh yeah, our fucking pool.
Getting those same winds tonight now GTE. As long as there is no damage to the house it is a win. Homeowners insurance should all fixed soon enough.
That's an awesome clip. I don't think I'll ever visit a city that's as mindblowing as Tokyo. When my wife and I visited for our honeymoon we stayed in Akihabara (mecca for nerds, basically) for the first part of our trip. Imagine if the Las Vegas Strip and Times Square had a love child and you will have some idea of what Akihabara was like. Overall we stayed about a week in Tokyo and I think we only just scratched the surface of the city. It's amazing and I would recommend it to anyone.
I have to say, watching Ford v. Ferrari definitely opened my eyes about the whole 24-hour racing thing. That's amazing, I know you were in on that a few years back.
