Girl dog has always been a trash hound but she is earning the title these days. She cleaned up a long line of baby spitup off the carpet and furniture. Can't even tell it happened. Good girl.
Why can’t I find “Song of the South” on DisneyPlus? One of their most famous films and they won’t release it for some reason.
Racism is funny when it’s G-rated. And nobody ever considered that maybe “rabbits” enjoyed pulling cotton for no paycheque.
If any of you idiots is looking for a last minute Father’s Day gift, these $10 finger bit drivers are awesome
https://www.masterbuilt.com/pages/gravity-series-1050 Got this for the upcoming grilling season. Gave it a test spin this weekend and it is the perfect mix of smoker and grill without the fuss of dealing with a auger driven wood pellet smoker. I did half charcoal half apple wood chunks and did a couple racks of ribs. Forgot to take pictures, but I've got a couple briskets and ribs on deck for the next couple weeks. I'll post some results.
My daughter is about to watch the tunnel scene in “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory”. Lets see what happens.
It’s a legendary scare scene. It jarred her, because it’s so different than the rest of the film. Like a fever dream horror scene.
Old Yeller. They played that for us during the last week of school when we were in grade six or something. I swear the teachers did it to just get in one last “fuck you” for the crap we did during the year. “That’s right, little nettdata... bond with the nice golden retriever... love him... THEN WATCH HIM GET SHOT BY HIS KID! Fuck you and have a good summer!”
Pfft. Has she seen "The Wizard of Oz"? If not, shame on you. If she has, then show her "Return to Oz." (1985) THEN TELL ME ABOUT DISTURBING. While you're at it, show her "The Dark Crystal." Those movies were marketed to kids in the '80s. I was there.
My parents rented me Return to Oz when I was 4 or 5 to try and give themselves a break from OG Wizard of Oz. Let's just say it did not go over well. Based on my limited recollection, I can't imagine it was really marketed as a children's movie. Was it really??? Eeeesh.
Return to Oz was just a bleak, nasty failure of a movie. And the funny thing is, it’s far closer to the source material the the original film. Everything about that movie felt creepy and wrong. “Something Wicked This Way Comes”... THAT is how you make family-rated dark fantasy/horror. I cannot BELIEVE that movie not only scored a PG rating, but was produced by Disney. And it’s still pretty awesome. Disney should have stuck with this format for longer, they really wussed out in the 90’s.
The Dark Crystal scared the fuck out of me as a kid. Then I tried to watch it on hallucinogens in my 20’s and was officially traumatized. The energy of the movie just put me in the darkest place.
