    I actually like Reindeer Games. Gary Senise was terrific and I've liked just about everything Donal Logue has been in (see: Life and Terriers, esp.), but the Charlize Theron nudity stands out as a highlight for me. Plus, Isaac Hayes!

    Reindeer games was garbage, but I liked Forces of Nature. Mostly because I have a weird thing for Maura Tierney and I was living in Savannah at the time and I was spending a ton of time on I-95 and passed "South of the Border" a few hundred times.

    I don't generally have a problem with Ben Affleck. As long as he's in the right roles. I just don't think his whole Ben Affleck douchey thing will translate well to batman. Bale made it believable for a couple of reasons. He was famous but not Affleck famous. I also feel like he will be unable to bring the type of darkness required of batman and will probably be more like a 1990's character.

    He will probably get into good shape. The tabloids will talk about that. And the movie will be forgettable. And will in no way compare to the 3 movies Nolan made.

    If Ben were smart he would have stayed away from this.

    I loved Argo; it was greatness. I thought that was a much better direction for Affleck. He killed everything about it. I just don't like him in blockbusters. I can't put my finger on why...I just can't see him doing Batman justice.

    It's the Man of Steel sequel and he'll play an "established" Batman - there's no origin story, or brooding conflicted character issues. He'll probably be just fine.

    Nothing. NOTHING is worse than Armageddon. That's why you feel that way. He gave the worst performance in the worst Hollywood movie ever made. He gets better with each movie he directs. But nothing will ever wash that AJ taste out.

    He grew up in August, GA is all. I think going to Harvard and MIT probably got the South of the Border out of him, although I imagine he learned quite a few economic lessons there.

    I had a dream that I was at a truck stop. I ran into DixieBandit, who had just killed a man who was trying to stop him from his latest attempt at getting some cash, which was elephant smuggling. Seriously, he was driving a semi-truck with a trailer holder two elephants, one of which had been shot by the man he killed, but was still alive, although pissed the fuck off. Dixie asked if I wanted to be a part of his financial plan, and I said that I just didn't understand his thought process, and politely declined.
