I also just came across this and now I'm busy googling how to best clean a computer monitor. So, thanks...
I got set up with a new doctor yesterday and got my flu shot. He asked if I wanted the new COVID vaccine and I told him I was on the fence. He didn’t push, but he said he and his wife had it a short time ago and despite being vaccinated it kicked their ass. “Let’s do it then.” But the two of them together are kinda kicking my ass this morning. Oof.
I'm just recovering from my COVID shot. I've had something like 6 so far and it's been super predictable - moderate flu symptoms starting in a few hours and basically completely gone by hour 24. This one lasted a lot longer. Symptoms weren't worse, but it was a full 36 hours or so until I was feeling better.
I was seriously thinking about calling off for the afternoon, but we’re too short handed. And it’s not anything I can’t handle for a couple hours. Any plans for after work though, ain’t happening.
I just saw that Brett Kelly, the actor who played Thurman Merman in the Bad Santa movies, is going to be a contestant on Jeopardy on Wednesday. I hope that there will be a category on sandwiches.
My daughter waited until she was 20, but yeah, they’re common and normal. I’m still a little iffy about it, but it doesn’t bother me. My wife is not at all happy about it. Old associations are hard to shake off.
I have four, my wife has four and she had I think a dozen piercings when I met her. Our daughter gets her nose pierced last week, a tattoo this week— but get this— has absolutely no interest in learning to drive a car. When I was sixteen, one thing was on my mind which wasn’t tattoos, piercings or Jurassic Park. I wanted to know: “When can I learn how to pilot two thousand pounds of steel to go wherever I want at the speed I feel like?”
For us, the car was freedom from boredom. Today, kids have phones and the internet... and laptops and ipads. They don't need to leave the house to have some freedom and entertainment.
