I don’t think anyone could have predicted how many people would get wool pulled over their eyes. Imagine if there was somehow a tetanus pandemic. How many people the past five decades told their doctors “no thanks, I prefer being paralyzed from a crippling and filthy blood poison”? This was so politicized and selfishly ignored by the powerful people who were modestly “inconvenienced” by it that even the Pre-Cogs couldn’t predict how badly it would be handled.
That's part of my curiosity... it didn't just happen overnight, and I'm wondering how early it was detected, and to what extent...
Very little at all. In the early stages it was about how many folks were eligible and how many doses we could get to how many spots. We never factored in how many people would refuse a pretty solid solution to a nightmarish problem, beyond just early vaccination rates and how many folks HHS suggested would be ineligible due to medical issues.
We probably should have. A lot of these people were already pretty vocal about their opinions on the matter as far back as March 2020.
ahh yes, the people who call others "sheep" now following their own shepherd to their demise. And also taking a medication with an actual lamb on the label. I would like to see anyone say they honestly predicted this much of the population being this fucking stupid. As much as I believe people are by and large retarded, I figured as soon as the shot came up there would be lines out the door to get it and that would be the end of it. I'm generally pessimistic when it comes to the behavior of people in groups... but this is on another level.
Y'all do realize that Ivermectin is an appropriate treatment for humans for some things, right? It's not strictly a treatment for animals. I'm not saying it is an appropriate treatment for covid-19, that's just fucking silly. But, people are not taking something they had in the barn or got from Tractor Supply. I hope.
Delta wasn't a thing back then. And to be honest, combating misinformation was never part of our scope. And we don't waste a lot of time reading Karen's shitposts on Facebook and believing it to be indicative of her behavior.
These people don’t trust scientists, but why would you when your buddy with the education of Ralph Wiggum has a pill for you? Isn’t this whole thing a Seinfeld episode by this point? https://youtu.be/tx-D2qtcP-4
Maybe it might be my trick brain acting up, but Is that shit not for deworming farm animals? They aren’t seriously going to do that to people down there, are they? Are they that dumb and sadistic?
Ivermectin is approved for use in humans, which opens it up for off-label prescription use if you can find a doctor willing to do so, which is what happened in the Cincinnati case. COVID has led to lots of scientists testing anything approved for use in humans to see if it might help with COVID. Some of them have apparently gotten good in vitro results with Ivermectin, but there is a big leap between killing SARS2 in a test tube and treating humans with it. Ivermectin seems to be very safe when prescribed by a doctor, but I guess that the idiots buying it at Tractor Supply might not understand that the recommended dosage on the label for horses and cattle are for animals 10x the weight of a person. They're starting to crack down on it recently, but when I was a kid you could get all kinds of antibiotics and vaccines at the farm store that would have required a prescription from a doctor but were the exact same drug.
yes that's exactly what's happening. Between friday and today, I've spoken with three of them actually. It's fucked up. But it also makes them shit themselves like crazy when they don't take the proper dose for their weight, which they don't because idiots like that cant/won't read, so I don't give too much of a... shit? About it.
I’m calling the people doing it dumb. Not everybody. Also Alberta is the conservative epicentre of Canada, so it makes sense that it would happen there.
Started cleaning up the mess that is my shop tonight, flipped on Netflix, and started watching the Star Trek reboot with Chris Pine. I forgot how much I really enjoy this flick. Ended up moving inside and cracking a bottle of wine to finish watching the flick. Looks like the shop can wait another day.
Just finished it. I wanted to hate it but couldn't. Hubs was in the Marine Corps so I am all too familiar with all the stereotypes associated with that branch, and they fit every single one into Major Payne. KNIFE HANDS FOR EMPHASIS
