Season one of “Happy!” and “The Ref” for me. “Just Friends” is a very underrated comedy, and takes place over Christmas.
Eep. I used this same handle on the TMMB/RMMB, and I have a perfectly healthy relationship with my family. No horrible sister or attention seeking Polynesian Elvises, here.
If you were to watch a series of Nicolas Cage films from every decade of his career, you would chart a descent into madness. I cannot WAIT to see this dude's retirement film. Like, just going from Fast Times to Raising Arizona to Face/Off....a normal high school kid confronts tragedy that causes him to turn to a life of crime, and he rehabs (Gone in 60 Seconds), only to get sucked back in as an arms dealer (Lord of War) who becomes haunted by a ghost (Ghost Rider), seeking justice he recruits child vigilantes (Kick-Ass).....that only gets us from 1981 to 2010. I may have found a way to hallucinate without any drugs at all.
The signs were there a LONG time ago. “Vampire’s Kiss” was pinnacle Cage and it was one of his first starring vehicles. That movie produced most of his memes. Cage is also a genius when given the right script. No film actor on the planet plays a lost soul better than he does. “Leaving Las Vegas” is one of the greatest acting performances in ANY movie, that’s one where the Oscars truly got it right.
I'm going to assume this means you don't have Netflix and therefore haven't seen their absurd carousel of low-budget Christmas romance movies.
I’m aware of them existing in my immediate environment, but only my wife watches them. It’s probably tied with A Charlie Brown Christmas for “worst.” If I wanted to get a perspective of the holidays by someone in a perpetual depression, I’ll just invite my cousin Kevin over. I don’t because he’s a fucking bummer. Just like Charlie Brown.
