Paul just walking Mike around until the old fella is too tired to fight. Every round that goes by lowers Mike's odds.
This is one of the reasons I stopped watching boxing. Too much time in the clinch as a strategy. It’s ridiculous
Tyson should’ve taken the opportunity during the stupid bowing at the end. They’re both like “and we got paid, the end.”
I gave him credit for not dunking on Tyson. Tyson gassed out 30 seconds in to the first round. It would have looked pitiful pounding on an ancient statue in the ring.
He’s still a douchebag, but I have to give Paul credit for the bow and his respect to Tyson at the end. It’s the second best ending we could have asked for I think.
I think the whole card was just another example why boxing is in the place it’s in. The women’s bout was absolutely brutal and fun to watch. Yet the decision was ridiculously bad. Main card was an overhyped exhibition match purely put on for marketing. Nothing is serious about the sport anymore. They had probably the most eyes on a single bout in more than a decade and they whiffed it. I actually enjoy watching boxing more than mma but not much to look forward to other than an internet celebrity fighting non boxers to gain clicks for energy drinks and some sort of body spray.
Me and my husband watched for a bit when it started but dipped when the streaming quality and buffering got bad. Even in that time I could see Tyson getting tired while the other guy bounced around him. I was impressed with how fast Tyson can duck a punch though, even at his age. Fucking quick.
There's a big JW population here and they canvass constantly. I've been home when they came around at least 4-6x, I've lost count. We have a split level and they get the same treatment as all the rest of the solicitors. How can I help you? Yelled down from the upstairs window. Fuck off!
My take on it is this. Last night I tuned in to watch for 2 reasons: it was free (had a Netflix sub since day 1), and I was hoping to watch Tyson knock that fucktard out. What I came away with was Netflix sucks for live sports, boxing is even more stupid than I thought before, and I never want to watch it again. Not sure that’s what they were hoping for.
I've noticed we have a pair of Morman's on bikes currently working the surrounding neighborhoods. They haven't knocked on our door yet, but since we moved here, nothing seems to deter solicitors. Even Pela & now Zuri's deep bark & size doesn't seem to give them much pause anymore. When I was a kid nobody would ever get out of their car with our Newf standing & barking next to their door. They'd crack the window and ask to talk. Mom would just yell "No!" from the door and go back to what she was doing, leaving the dog standing next to their car. I miss those days.
I could have sworn that I saw videos saying they were entering some new phase because the end was near. Too good to be true I guess.
