    To give you SOME idea, I'm Director of Fintech for a public company. I'm making recommendations around regulatory compliance with respect to digital assets and money transmission licensing, etc. I'm being ignored, by morons with zero fucking clue.

    It's bad enough that our internal legal counsel just rage quit today with a major "fuck you I'm not ruining my career on this this" group message. It was all kinds of epic, but still leaves my team fucked.

    Stupid is too stupid to know its stupid... and it won't fix itself.

    Fun times.

    Wow. Looks like Nett is seriously shit-housed at this point.

    In other news, sometimes, well, MOST times, I really hate where I live. For the past two weeks, I've been trying to find a local transmission shop with a specific tool to install a special part for Jungle Julia's transmission*, and THREE of them have said that they had it, only to find out that - SURPRISE! - they don't actually have it!

    It turns out that they didn't even know what the tool/ part was (this tells you a LOT about the quality of transmission repair in my area).
    It doesn't help that most of the people working at these shops can't/ won't/ can barely speak English, and my Spanish is admittedly not great.

    For the record, this tool is a minimum of $150, and I'll probably only use it once, then never again. My tool box is already full of tools like that.

    I should have probably posted this in the rant thread, but fuck it.

    *The part in question is a Sonnax oversized pressure regulator valve, which requires a special reamer/ fixture.

    EDIT: To Nett: My dog Susie LOVES to put her paws in the water. Too bad it gets the water dirty, then she doesn't want to drink it...

    Oh come on, man! I thought we were going to have some good back and forth between functional alcoholics!

    Anyway, Nett isn't the only one drinking right now; I've had about a bottle of Franzia Cabernet at this point, and I just found the tool I need on sale for $99. I'm fucking buying it.
