    I’m expecting some fireworks to start, but I think the first period will determine if I stay up to watch it or not.

    Recording it so I can fast forward to the good parts in the morning.

    Just to clarify they didn't achieve fusion, they were able to hold the hydrogen plasma stable for 20+ minutes at temperatures roughly 1/3 of what they will require to achieve fusion.
    Still big progress but fusion still remains quite far off.
