O Saw two women slam their shopping carts into each other at Target this morning because they were fighting over which one was going to take the cart with the race car steering wheel.
So the water they handed out on course were in these 4 ounce bottles with a lid. You’d flip the top to drink. London Marathon sent out at lest half a dozen emails about making sure to leave the top open when you toss it, because if it’s closed then it’s “inflated” and a tripping hazard on course… which is precisely how I broke my foot at mile 18. Fucking assholes don’t know how to follow directions!! anyway, hobbled to the finish in 5:26. Was on pace for sub 5 before that happened, but whatever. Going sub 5:30 on a busted leg is something I’ll take all damn day. It was absolutely amazing. Running over Tower Bridge was insane. Running around Cutty Sark though was just overwhelming.
I get that, i am just luck enough now that i don't have to worry about that. I look at it if i wouldn't get paid my hourly wage at my job it isn't worth my time(and i don't have to deal with people). If i want extra money i can always clock in on the weekend and take a labourer job and make more money(mon-fri dayshift $, m-f afternoon $x1.25, m-f grave $x1.5, sat day/after $x1.25, sat grave $x1.5, sun $x1.5)
Wait, are moms into thongs? I haven't so much as looked at a thong or an underwire since I had a baby. Fuuuck that, my body has endured enough abuse.
Thus far one on-course death has been confirmed during the marathon. Saw some absolutely horrible injures and people passing out and leaving in ambulances so not sure how they’ll end up or if itll ever get reported. all in all, made it out alright
Well, shit got exciting here in town last night. 5 rail cars full of old railway ties caught fire and the train pulled them through town, stopping so the fire deptartment could put out the fires. Crazy. https://london.ctvnews.ca/train-on-fire-moving-through-downtown-london-1.6856349
Yes, but it was the stupid environmentalists fault. The most surprising part is that in London, they use water bottles measured in Ounces instead of Milliliters.
I feel vindicated. I have the flu, I tested positive for that, and the way I feel it wouldn't surprise me if I also have strep. The wife thought I was doing the whole man cold thing yesterday. This morning she has it and crying in bed, just blubbering about how bad it is. That'll learn her to doubt how bad I feel. I feel like I should be fed through a feeding tube. It isn’t just uncomfortable to swallow, it is extremely painful. It hurts so bad to just swallow air, or small amounts of water. I barely eaten a thing since Monday night. The kid tested positive for strep, negative for the flu and rsv. He also has Hand Foot and Mouth. His school is being extra petri dish-y lately.
