    It's legit too hot to be in the sun, even in the pool. About another hour or so and we'll start getting some shade on it and then it's go time.


    Grandson and the fam are leaving tomorrow morning and as much as I'll miss him, it'll be nice to have our house back to normal. aka, quiet.

    Random comment for a quiet WDT... almost a year ago my buddy ran his first Ironman and I solicited design advice from the Idiots for custom glencairn glasses.

    The responses and reps ended up being very helpful, because the second option did indeed pop more, but the date detracted from the Ironman logo which is why I was leaning towards the first option. I ended up going with a modified version that turned out great, he successfully completed the race, and I arranged for his wife to have the glasses waiting at the finish line.

    I didn't get to see the glasses in person until a few months ago - but I appreciated the feedback here and was super happy with them.

    I had the pleasure of getting yelled at during a very contentious public meeting last night. I will follow it up by working today and spending all weekend working around the house, heat be dammed. I should be able to relax a bit in a week or so. I’m tired.

    at least you aren't in Houston, which is still mostly without power, humid as fuck, hotter than that, and also it's houston.

    High today is 86 with 92% humidity. Tomorrow I'm running a 15k (9.3 miles) which starts at 7:30 am. Would have been much kinder to everyone if they started an hour earlier, but whatever. Normally I don't mess with chaffing cream for that distance, but ball and ass sweat is gonna be an issue
