Taking daughter to the Henry Ford museum tomorrow. Mackinac and this place are THE two places you want to visit if you go to Michigan. As far as museums go, it rivals the Smithsonian.
Happy Friday! I met a new friend a few months back, lady from Colombia working as an au pair. Her location got moved to Vermont (I'm a little jelly) but we text a lot. She loves sending me Colombian Christmas information and memes. It's actually delightful. I've learned a bunch of funny sayings and new foods. Here's one she sent that I'll try this holiday:
Word, I thought he was a living headache. Nick’s jokes without context is the funniest shit on earth:
His laugh is nails on a chalkboard. And I guarantee he chose to leave as a result of Nick drilling into him about his unhealthy lifestyle in probably the most famous episode. Or maybe the second-most-famous after the one where Adam shit his pants during the podcast in Nick's apartment.
Exactly. It wasn’t even joking then, his frail ego and denial shined through all the edge humour there, he claims he left Cum Town because he wanted to try something besides podcasting. ….and then IMMEDIATELY starts up his own podcast. He just can’t accept the fact that he rode a much more talented friend’s coattails right onto a solo appearance on the JRE.
It's a wild decision considering they were each making $100k per month from the podcast. The new one is a bit better, though. Chris Cuomo was a hilarious guest to have.
They were the number five show on Patreon! Making THAT money simply pissing out of your ass into a microphone for two hours a week. Nick would threaten to shit in Adam’s fiancees’ pussy, directly Doxx him, aired an uncensored confidentiality agreement he had with his gay-ass former employer (Vox), made fun of his mom dying in real life and call him Mr. Jeweyson Coinsteinburg on a weekly basis and he’d shrug it off like any real friend would.
I'll be honest, I wasn't up to date with the drama as Cum Town was an occasional treat for me. Sounds pretty stupid. I've been enjoying Stav's latest podcast and his standup specials. The only podcasts I listen to regularly is This Is Hell and Chapo Trap House.
Crazy amounts of rain the last few days. Glad it wasn't snow, it would have been a couple feet's worth.
Take this as you will from a dumb Southerner, but that was the most surprising thing to me about snow. It just.... Hangs about and builds up and turns black near the busy streets. The big box store parking lots have huge building piles where the snowplows leaves it over and over. It doesn't fucking go away, you can't escape it. Related, sorta. In some areas of the world, they are playing with giant ice cones/pyramids to combat the severe heat and water problems of the summer. They call them ice stupas http://icestupa.org/
Just a garden variety storm here in NJ. Rain with a bit of snow at the end, and windy. Nothing remarkable. Every time precip is in the forecast the media hypes like it’s the end of days.
Complete opposition feelings. Rain is wrecking the slopes, and if it had been a few degrees colder we would have gotten crazy good conditions this week.
Sure, there's just not a lot skiing to be had on South Shore. Up north there's not a single resort that's even half open at this point.
