Anyone else doing the daily wordle challenge? The fact that you can only play once a day makes it kind of addicting.
I did it today for the first time just to see what it was about. Got it in 3 tries. I thought there was more to it, but that was it. Kind of lame.
I've been doing it for 4 or 5 days. I usually start with STARE or STORE. Got em in as few as 2, as many as 6. Guessed FORGE when I didn't know letters could repeat instead of GORGE. There is a knockoff site that lets you do more than one a day, but it's not a secure site.
It's simple but I enjoy it. Me and hubs see who can get it in fewer tries. I figured it out in 2 tries today with a new strategy. I found some knockoff versions too. One version has unlimited tries but the word changes every round. So that one it's in your best interest to go through the whole alphabet. You end up with words with a lot of repeating letters.
RENTS gets five of those six. I find it interesting how these random things blow up and get super popular. Like flappy bird, this game is simple and far from a new concept beyond only doing one word a day.
Words with Friends was like that before it was drowned in ads. Yahoo Pool was the OG of viral online games like that.
I'm sorry, were we not all trusting our video game pool playing experience to the experts? Lifesavers breathmints?
Guess not, I made due with what I had on Yahoo. It was good times, and I did ok considering how terrible I am at actual pool and how there is zero transfer of skills between them. Real talk, though. I’d kick everyone on this board’s ass in ping-pong.
I dated a state champion and collegiate tennis player, I would hand you your ass at the ping pong table.
