I haven't watched The Exorcist in a long time and forgot about some of the adult themes in the movie. That would be uncomfortable to watch with kids.
Weather channel saying 800k+ without power in LA, MS, and AL. Still a Cat 1. Lots of tornadoes. This is gonna absolutely wreck some shit
Oh man, watching the new Borat movie. Anyone else seen it yet? The debutant scene had me laughing so hard my belly hurts. I'm lucky I didnt wake up the baby.
I'm still waiting to get solid reports, and we won't get good info til 11-12 am Central, but from what I can see we've got relatively small mandatory evacuations in place. 800k without power across 3 states sounds a bit extreme, and you can bet that number will be halved by 8 p.m. tonight. Right now, we've got 1500 folks deployed across 4 states postured for support, and some of them have been working with state Emergency Operations Centers overnight. This won't be as bad as Laura (thank God), and might be as bad as Delta, but it doesn't look that bad right now. The tornado report looks kind of whacky, but I want to give it a couple of hours, because at this stage the first report or two is usually not reliable. So far, I'm supporting this remote from my parent's house, and given a COVID outbreak in the office in Baton Rouge (I'm sorry, ANOTHER ONE), it's not likely we'll move in person. Still, my team is betting we have one more major hurricane before this record-breaking season ends.
Didn’t anyone watch the show Hannibal? I just started binging it with the wife. Damn is Mads Mikkelsen good.
Introducing the niece to some Halloween classics since the storm forced them to cancel school (horseshit, but whatevs). Hocus Pocus Casper Young Frankenstein Monster Squad Beetlejuice She's 8, and Young Frankenstein is more for me and Nana to giggle, but what am I missing? We've already done every form of the Addams Family and Ghostbusters.
Man, Zeta kinda snuck up on me here in Virginia, that doesn't usually happen. I knew we were supposed to get rain, but the school called last night saying closed for wind. Now I'm scrambling to get several boats out of the water, ours and a couple of neighbors.
The Exorcist: Directors Cut. In all seriousness, you could probably show her the classic Frankenstein movie from the 30s. That should not be too much for an 8 year old.
The powers out and it will probably be awhile before it gets fixed. Great. Stupid tropical storm. Fun fact, this is only the second time in history we've had a tropical storm warning in this area.
I'm still shocked they put that show on primetime NBC. But yes, it was way better than I had originally expected. I just wish that they had been able to have a true known finale to the series, rather than getting cancelled and leaving things unknown.
yeah, I know. I was taking your comment out of context and making a joke that wasn’t that funny. Geez.
