Most big brands suck nowadays. I do like Nestle though, mostly because they steal drinking water from poor people.
Ben and Jerry’s Phish Food is my absolute favorite ice cream. Even if I wasn’t a fan of the band, it’s my favorite ice cream. The mix of flavors (chocolate, marshmallow, caramel) is just perfectly balanced. But again, the only downside is it’s in a pint and not a gallon.
Not a chocolate Easter egg to be found at the grocery. I should have known better. Whatever, I will console myself with chocolate iced donuts. It's fine.
Yeah it used to actually have a yolk looking middle and was more distinct tasting. Now it's kind of a generic cream filling. I still love them, maybe more about nostalgia than anything. But they were far better 2 decades ago.
I don’t like the crème eggs at all. The caramel eggs are just too much caramel. Reese’s peanut butter eggs are perfection.
Just had dinner tonight with my sister, and they did a fantastic ham and scalloped potatoes, a standard Easter meal for us. The ham was amazing tonight... it was done on my BIL's new BBQ, on the rotisserie, using a nice maple syrup glaze that pretty well put an incredibly thick glaze on the ham. It was awesome. Not religious at all, don't give a fuck about Jesus, but was quite happy with the meal we had tonight and long weekend we had as a result. I then watched a nail gun shootout as penance.
***Cough, cough*** Tom Scholtz Rockman products. What was originally a high end, incredible piece of electronic genius, once bought out by Dunlop, became literal garbage. I bought one of the newer models without reading up on it, expecting the same product I remembered from 30 years previous. To say it assaulted and insulted my ears is an understatement. It was in the trash within an hour.
Yeah, it used to be a thinner, gooey mass compared to the solid lump it is now. I remember this distinctly from watching the hottest girl in 8th grade use her finger to scoop it out and slowly lick and suck it off sitting across from me in science class. Definately a defining moment in my life.
