All right. I need help. (duh, but there’s more).

What Mexican drinks can I ask the bartender for?

I’ve gone through all the regular stuff… looking for something new to try.

    Anyone?

    MEXICAN BANDERA!

Brandy, Creme de Mente, and Tequila. They pour it in a way that none of the liquors mix, and it has three separate colors. It represents the Mexican flag.

Years ago on my Cabo trip, one of the chicks we met was Mexican (but from the states) and she would put clamato in her beers. I tried it and threw the rest of the beer away. Nasty.

    Well duh.

You’re supposed to put the beer in the clamato. Everyone knows that.

Well now there’s lots of drama.

We just lost sat signal due to the hurricane so both fans are pissed. And drunk.

Even worse, we’ve gone from partial to complete signal loss.

I’ve lived here since 2009. Astros fan are huge bandwagoners. I think most people have at least an Astros hat or something but there’s not a whole lot of loyalty here. When the team was shit, they couldn’t even give tickets away. It’s not like the Yankees or anything where the fans go back a long time.

As for the sense of Houston superiority, I don’t get that at all. Most people hate it here more than they like it. The traffic is awful and this summer was the hottest on record. The drivers are absolutely atrocious and I’m never not surprised that I don’t die on the road even on the shortest trips.

The one thing we do have is food. We have one of the most diverse populations and with that comes an endless selection of amazing restaurants. I live in a Korean/Mexican neighborhood and the choices I have within 4 minutes of my doorstep always make me happy.

    Well, this is fun.

Power is out. It’s back. Out. And back. a bunch of patio doors for rooms around me have blown in. My bedroom is leaking through the ceiling. The people on the bottom floor are flooding out.

I’ve got an inside 2nd bathroom that is well protected from flying glass and water so I’ve moved all my shit in there and am going to try and sleep in a chair.

I’ll watch movies and keep shit charged up as long as power stays on.

I’m not in danger, it’s just a bit of an experience.

Can’t imagine what the young family next door is going through.

And now a drunk guy is stealing my sandbags, and wiped out going down the stairs.

So far, though, still worth the 12 marlin.

Hope all y’all are having a less exciting night than I am!

Ha! Turns out I have a murphy bed in my villa. Thought it was a closet and went to relocate sone clothes out of the bedroom and there it was.

It’s very well protected from the 2 big patio doors that are flexing like crazy so it looks like I don’t have to sleep in a chair after all.

Not that I think I’ll sleep all that much tonight…

But ATT’s cell network is working like a champ. Wifi died hours ago.

Hell of a view from the hotel room.

Coast guard is all hands on deck on their boats. (Coast Guard station is right in front of me).
