According to the article he gave in to her unreasonable demands (like his children not playing outside) but he still managed tofu-ck it up
So I got my fucking Tool tickets this morning. Jesus Christ what an awful process. They go on sale at 10 am. So they direct to the venues website where you see a countdown timer until the sale opens. Then you are placed in a “queue” online for when your turn arrived to buy tickets. When my spot opened up, there were no tickets available at all. This is 7 minutes after the sale opened. So I run over to stub hub where they are being scalped for double and triple face value. Some were over $500. The most expensive ticket on the venue site showed $150. So I get 4 tickets for like $140 each in the nosebleeds and there’s a $50 convenience charge per ticket. Now I get why mass shootings happen.
Yep. I had a similar experience buying tickets recently and want to generally murder everyone at TicketMaster. I did the same thing you did to start, my turn pops up, the map of $85 tickets pop up, I select two on the aisle . . . "we're sorry, another fan has already purchased these" or whatever. So, I pick two more, same thing. Then I move back to higher seats, but I get two. They're in my cart, I'm all signed in, I have xx minutes to complete my purchase. So, I do. And, nothing ever happens. Meanwhile the clock is ticking. So, I open another browser, select the SAME EXACT TWO TICKETS THAT WERE $85 earlier that are now back available on the seat map. They're in my cart, I go to purchase them, and I see that my cart is a LOT more than $85 x 2 + fees. I figured the original two were still in there and said, fuck it, I'll just sell those higher seats on StubHub. Keeping in mind that you have about 3 seconds to make all these decisions because that shit will be gone. So, I complete the transaction. I ended up paying $225 for each ticket + $33 each ticket service fee + $6.25 for the processing fee, whatever the fuck that is. Why were they more? Because these were "variable price Platinum seats with dynamic pricing that fluctuate based on demand." And, the other two seats just magically went away. They're not "platinum" like, VIP, with access or special entry or meet n greet. They're just "platinum" like that's what the ass rape pole is made out of. Free market and all that, I don't care if you can get $250 / ticket to a concert that is in demand. More power to you. I'll decide if that's worth it. But, fucking showing it as $85 and then it being $225? That's some carnival bullshit right there. And, fans can't do jack shit about it.
At one point I had selected seats and was in the purchasing screen where I put my payment method in and when I went to submit, they were sold to someone else. Like, how can they sell tickets that are in the process of being paid for?
Because they’d demonic sacks of anuses who should be put against a wall and shot. That’s how. People who sell concert tickets would eat their own young if you gave them half a chance. They’ve removed all the fun and wonderful memories that came from live music with their money grubbing horseshit. I miss standing in line at the box office/record store in the morning for tickets. THAT was fair. The people who wanted to see the show the most got the best chance, instead of the people who want to profit the most.
Shit I paid for some tickets with PayPal and I didn’t realize they had the PayPal credit option as the default option on the site. I thought it was just my regular account tied to my credit card. I started getting calls and text from PayPal and I was two months and 30$ late on payment. Buuuulshit. So with the original convenience fee I paid near double the price of face value.
I’d need a catcher’s mitt for the length and speed of my logs. Maybe their restricted diets leave them more regular?
