I always heard that pouring diesel fuel on deer corn in a pig trap kept the coons away. Turns out the opposite was the case around here. Only time I’ve ever emptied a 30 rd magazine while hunting. Those fuckers were running and dodging like they were in the matrix. Thankfully range and elevation were to my advantage.
Since wilderness is a theme, I saw a gorgeous, young grey fox in my yard this morning. Keep in mind, I am a heroin needle away from Baltimore, so this is a rare sight indeed. I assume she's hunting the bunnies that sprout up out here. My question: how do I encourage her to stick around? Leave her food? I've got a nice hole in my yard that we assumed was a sinkhole or washout, but it may have been one of her spots. I'll check it to see if there's bits of fur or signs, but... I've got a hell of a good luck charm apparently.
That's really cool. Nature! Nah dont feed her intentionally, it will make her more used to people as well as more reliant. Just observe and enjoy. She can find her own food.
See, aside from the wholesome and debonair locals, Florida also provides ferocious wild pigs, leviathan-sized snakes and dinosaurs that break into your house at night.
The snakes are mostly from people who bought one at a pet store and didn’t realize it would grow to be a life size anaconda. So instead of trying to off load it to a zoo or animal rescue, they just let it out the back door and go with god.
