Agreed. I don’t know why that podcast is popular. They have some good guests, I can’t stand the hosts.
Be careful with that. Tools are like perfect-tasting popcorn and it’s hard to know when to stop. For instance: when you start buying impact sockets because “the black ones look so cool sitting next to the chrome ones!” The next thing you know you own a concrete vibrator and a fence post auger and you snap out of the daze like “Huh?! Wha happen?!?!” But goddamn that stuff looks great when it matches and it’s all put away.
latest predictions have it as a major hurricane. Looks like it's gonna stay completely over water until it hits the Gulf Coast. This is a major ruh roh situation.
it’s now a hurricane. And it hasn’t even gotten to Cancun yet. Yous fucked son! Hope your bags are still packed. looks like everywhere from LA to the Florida panhandle should be getting ready for a major, high-category hurricane. This one has all the makings of a major fucking problem
I told my wife we got lucky with Marco, Laura, and Sally, but if we got a fourth one to take aim at Louisiana, we would probably catch hell. I'll be keeping an eye out (no pun intended) on this one. I didn't feel the least bit of worry with those, figured there would be some wind and a lot of rain, but nothing crazy. This one has me feeling a bit uneasy.
it's the "long track over water and zero interaction with land" part that has the hair on my neck standing on end
There's a local guy that has obviously learned some meteorology from somewhere, that updates on facebook all during the day when storm season gets busy. He's been pretty spot on the past couple years I've been following him. He has been checking the models and there's one so far (and soon possibly others) that has this thing going to Cat 4. If that happens, and it stays it's current course, we'll be bugging out to Shreveport. I'm not fucking around with that kind of animal. *sidenote: I never imagined I would post as much as I have here, which I know is hardly ever. But damn do I regret this choice of username.
Literally going to have a discussion with my wife as soon as she gets out the tub about our plans for the next couple of days. Had her plan a grocery pick up for early tomorrow, but I will discuss evac plans and such in just a little bit. Now, if this thing spins down to a Cat 1 like what was originally predicted, I may ride it out
How fucking weak and emasculated are Spotify employees, exactly? Can you think of anything more millennial than threatening to strike because you can’t creatively control Rogan’s podcast? Has censorship become this pathetic? How were these people banning his episodes not fired on the spot?
They already fucked up the roll-out. Dozens of episodes with conservative guests were missing and Spotify claimed there were issues with the transfers. The strike threats are less than a month after that. I'm guessing Spotify isn't going to let an employee strike cost them $100 million, but who the fuck knows? I guess they could put golden handcuffs on Rogan over it in that he can creatively produce the episodes any way he wants, but if there is no contractual guarantee of distribution, he could be fucked (relatively speaking).
If that becomes the case, he should start broadcasting dead air. Sit in front of the mic for three hours and say nothing. It’s ridiculous that they sign the biggest podcast there is, and then demand control of it. Your money is in the podcast, not a bunch of woke morons. Fire them all, keep Rogan.
I'm watching TWC now. This is absolutely gonna be the big one this year. If I lived between East Houston and the Florida panhandle, I would absolutely be arranging to get the fuck out of dodge immediately. I just got off the phone with a few people who have family in the path and basically said, I'm not telling you to tell them GTFO, but if I was there, I would be running very fast in the opposite direction.
