Exactly. The state will have someone authorized to properly rehab them. Not doing so could result in major fines and/or jail time.
Jungle Julia called today, and there is NO ONE in our area to rehab owlets. So they're staying with us (oh, one died last night. For the record, it wasn't doing well after the 30-foot fall; you know, not being able to fly, and all. The other one is good.). Why were none of y'all concerned a couple of years ago, when we rehabbed a Barn Owlet? I know I talked about it on here.
I recall directing you to a few resources when it came up last time, and a couple others mentioned it being a big problem too.
Thank you, everyone. This is FAR from our first time rehabbing a bird. She and I have done it numerous times. I'll give you updates.
My iPod touch gave up the ghost after 2 Las Vegas summers in my car, so I've had to start listening to the radio. While searching for a decent station I came across one playing Van Halen's Runnin' With the Devil. That will work. Or maybe not. They followed it up with WHAM!. WTF? Who the fuck is their target audience?
